  1. Holy horsefeathers, why does everyone think Tucker is a Boras client? It's been discussed here ad nauseam that he isn't.
  2. He's beefed up a lot since last season. Good to see he's putting in the work off the court too.
  3. This is beyond the expectations of the guy who's coaching him so I'll go ahead and believe Ben Johnson.
  4. Is this by chance a reference to Boob Nightengale calling Tigers in 3 against the Cardinals in 2006? Hopefully you're as wrong as he was. 😜
  5. I think there needs to be some patience here. Ben is trying to coach a ton of bad habits out of him that he's been doing since he was in college. Between the lack of talent around him at USC and the shoddy line and poor coaching last year, Caleb has been running for his life and doing it on his own for a long time and breaking him of those tendencies and getting him to play on time and in rhythm isn't going to happen overnight. Now, if we're not seeing marked improvement by the end of the season and he's still running around like a chicken with his head cut off, I'll definitely be concerned then.
  6. That's the design of the offense though, so I'm not sure what the gripe could be. Get a guy the ball in space and let him run. It's more efficient and significantly reduces the margin for error vs throwing the ball long.
  7. It seems related to the "enter your email" pop up. That only comes up all the way if I click on my other screen when it's in the shaded part of the flashing. Otherwise, it just alternates the fully bright and shaded screens about every second.
  8. That worked. I tried it yesterday as well but apparently didn't clear out enough things.
  9. Turned off and relaunched with no change.
  10. Graphics acceleration is the only option I have there. Settings are somewhat controlled by my company.
  11. Adobe editor is the only thing I have active currently.
  12. @Brock Beauchampthe flashing went away for like a week and is back now. It makes the site nearly unusable.
  13. Isn't the Ravens defense still super injured and missing a bunch of guys? The offense should look good against them and I guess we'll find out how real the defensive improvement is if Lamar plays.
  14. What are you talking about? He came over as an unrestricted free agent and will be again after his contract with the Cubs is up.
  15. I don't know if they changed what they were doing, but it felt like the Bears were getting much better pressure on the QB in the 4th quarter than they were the rest of the game. Maybe better effort, maybe the Washington line was tired, I don't know, it just seemed better late.
  16. No kink shaming!
  17. I don't think this can be a consideration. Tucker's bat being as much better as it is than anyone else they can reasonably expect to get at any other position in the near future (as you point out in your "Pros") makes it pretty easy to find the level of production you may have gotten from corner OF at another spot on the field using those resources.
  18. The pass interference no calls were painful to watch. I don't think Illinois wins that game regardless, but there were a couple in the end zone and the early interception was absolutely a result of an early jersey tug by the OSU defender.
  19. Yeah, Counsell definitely got outmanaged in the 6th inning when his top 2 hitters got on base and the 3 highest paid hitters on the team proceeded to completely horsefeathers the bed in the most crucial moment of the season. 100% his fault. 🙄
  20. Apparently you haven't looked at the Dodgers roster for those games vs. what they're sending out in the NLCS. The Brewers got the almost split squad version in the regular season.
  21. Names I'd consider to fill spots next year: 3B: Bregman, Trevor Story (I assume he can handle 3B), Bichette SP: Chris Sale (could be an ideal 1 yr deal/PTR move with the lockout looming), Framber Valdez, Ranger Suarez, Freddy Peralta Bench: Goldschmidt as a lefty masher, Miguel Rojas in a utility role There aren't many OF I'd have any interest in pending the Tucker situation, but Trent Grisham might be worth a look. Pete Alonso would be a terrible idea considering he'd want a ton of PT, a ton of money, and the 1B already on the roster is better than him anyway.
  22. Yeah, regardless of who won on Saturday I was expecting the NLCS to be a slaughter. The Dodgers have too much pitching depth and too many good hitters in comparison to either the Cubs or Brewers for it to be much of a contest.
  23. Best I can find is 30-4, but your point stands because outside of that stretch they're 69-63 including postseason games.
