  1. I have no idea how this defense was so bad early and is so good now, but I'm enjoying it. (Yes, injuries and the trade, but I digress)
  2. Baker Mayfield is just abusing the Packers defense right now. I'm enjoying it.
  3. Some great blocking on the return and fantastic effort to not block in the back by Stevenson.
  4. Patrick is just a turnstile.
  5. Yeah, not using the middle of the field with TOs left was bad.
  6. Your ability to completely ignore things that are inconvenient to your narrative is really impressive.
  7. That's one of the few Bears games I've been to and it was by far the worst live sports experience of my life, closely followed by the mausoleum atmosphere created by one pitch Rich against the DBacks.
  8. Yeah, I think something along the lines of no more than 50% of salary for any season can be deferred would be a decent thing to implement to still give teams some wiggle room but not let something as egregious as this particular contract happen in the future.
  9. I admittedly didn't watch him much but the Notre Dame game he just wilted in the face of pressure, much like I've seen Fields do regularly. It was concerning. Now, was the ND pass rush that much better than the USC line that day and he didn't have a chance? Possibly, but I'll leave that judgement to the experts. The size has me concerned as well.
  10. Morel's swing and miss is wildly different than Baez. If you look at their swing charts, Morel just misses pitches in the zone and isn't generally swinging at a ton of pitches that are way off the plate. I'm not sure it's any more correctable than pitch selection issues, but it's a different and lesser issue IMO.
  11. Between his agent looking like Father Carmine from Rocky and a former Illini QB taking down the Packers, I'm fully on board with this storyline. Also, the Packers fan on my timeline bitching about giving the game away was hilarious considering the best back in the game fumbled without being touched to even give them the opportunity to take the lead. That game was over if he doesn't cough it up.
  12. Bonilla was a buyout of an existing deal though, not an original contract. This definitely feels sketchy. And to answer TT, yeah, I’d have been fine with 10/$460 straight up if LA was the determining factor.
  13. That backstory is wild too. College soccer, no college football, to the USFL, to the Cowboys is a pretty crazy path.
  14. I think he's actually gotten much better at this. His big issue is when he can't get out of the pocket he takes bad sacks. He made really good throw away in the red zone on the second drive where they got the FG yesterday if I recall correctly.
  15. I'm convinced he's a Score caller from the southside. He was referring to one of the pitchers as Wesnecki too.
  16. I think a lot of it is play calling. I don't think Getsy is very good at calling plays that play into his strengths and he puts him in uncomfortable positions.
  17. That was fun.
  18. I have a problem with a pitch wide to a WR with no deception whatsoever. Absolute garbage call. I think the one thing we know for sure is that Getsy isn't an NFL offensive coordinator. Okay, maybe Fields holds the ball too long too.
  19. I'm pretty sure it's currently half demolished right now for renovations, which is probably why they met with him at their ST complex.
  20. Oh, so they didn't in fact win the '22-'23 off season then. Got it.
  21. What? They didn't do horsefeathers last offseason in terms of splashy acquisitions. https://www.si.com/mlb/diamondbacks/news/diamondbacks-40-man-roster-transactions-2022-23-off-season
  22. Did it? They caught some lightning in a bottle in spite of De Grom and Scherzer ending up hurt and still had to add Chapman, Scherzer, Montgomery, and Stratton at the deadline.
  23. How did that work out for the Mets last year?
  24. First overall pick. Took me a minute too. I was reading it as Ten A.
