    wtf? It would appear that he thinks everything on the site must be baseball related ot it's out of line. Which, if you pay attention, is clearly the case. I believe I'm also the 1st person to ever have their kid in their avatar. (Or maybe not if you check the game thread starter from the 4 before today)

Congrats, I got a 10 week old and she never sleeps. Hope you have better luck with that. Not so much. The last 3 days have been terrible. She wakes up, screams and then eats. She then takes 2 hours to go back to sleep, then wakes up an hour later. Rinse, lather, repeat. I have been living on coffee because she's been so loud all night.

    Georgia with men on 1st and 2nd with nobody out and FSU changing pitchers. By the way, their starter threw about 120 pitches and that was the 2nd or 3rd time he'd done that this year.

    Because thru 5 innings we've sent 31 batters to the plate and only scored 7 runs. 31 batters minus 7 runs= 24 minus 15 = 9. So that can't be right. Maybe that's combined for all of the guys and is therefore counting guys twicw?

    Actually, not. The city is fine, all the small towns to the north and northwest of the city have gotten hit, but the levees breaking there kept St. Louis from having any real problems. My office is right on the river and we've got another 8 feet to go before we have a problem.

    If I recall from Omar's matchup grid, hasn't Payton been pretty damn good against Lilly historically? I'm not surprised he's done well tonight.

    This is just nitpicking, but it's Jimmy BASEBALL, not Jimmy Ballgame. It was Teddy Ballgame and the nickname should not be soiled by Edmonds, although I hate him much less than I used to.

    This was exactly my thought. Maybe you can add on $1M/year and get him to go for a 3 yr deal at $32-33M.

    I just hope that Edmonds remains productive and Rammy doesn't revert back to his free swinging because he feels like he has to get it done every time with no help behind him in the lineup.

    Interesting he's already got more walks in 1/3 of the PAs at AA as he had at A. Fluke or just evolving plate discipline?

    Mostly because Dice K had Rich Hill like performance today. He threw 48 pitches and only 1/2 were strikes.

    For that matter why does White Sox get games on WGN for that matter? Nobody nationally knows who the White Sox are. Nor do they bring in the ratings. The Cubs do very well by themselves on WGN. WGN can drop White Sox games (to which they could feesibly take the would be WS games, and turn them back into more Cub games on WGN), and just do Cubs games only. Let Comcast or whoever pick up White Sox. Seeing as the target audience for White Sox games, are in Chicago. It would cost WGN a ton of money because of the "superstation" tax. Same reason the Braves aren't on TBS any more. More than a certain number of games on a superstation and they have to pay astronomical fees to televise the extra games.

    Yes, please do this. I was able to enjoy Pat and Ron and nearly drove off the road when Rammy hit it.

    Opens the door for Penn St. to get a 1st round bye in the BTT. Probably not, but it's out there. After the top 4 (MSU, Purdue, Wisky, OSU), it's a real crapshoot for those middle teams before you get to UM and IU at the bottom. Gun to my head I'd say Illinois, Minnesota, Penn St., Northwestern, Iowa And wow, after the top 3, the Big 10 is going to be really bad this year. I disagree. The top 3 will be darn good, but the next 3 (Ill, Minn, OSU) will all be improved over last season by the end of the year with all the new bodies in the fold. I expect 5 tourney teams.
