I saw your name "carolinacubbie" and just assumed you were in the good carolina. Guess I was wrong  Speaking of that, why is it East carolina and not EastERN Carolina like all the other state universities? Just think that's a little weird.
Ehhh, not so much. One of the guys just said "if we get a hit here, we can get another point." I want to smack my wife when she says this, mostly because she does it on purpose to annoy me.
I unfortunately live in the STL area and am watching the game because I am unable to watch the Cubs. Figured I'd give some updates of our closest competitor and most hated rival. Plus, their golden boy pitcher was getting knocked around, which I enjoyed.
This guy is like bizarro Cubs fan. Hates the good players and has undying faith in the crappy ones. Soriano has been less than good this year. Blanco is actually having a great year. Where is Fred with the stats? Soriano has been Soriano this year. And without looking at stats, I can tell you Blanco most likely has a ridiculous and unsustainable BABIP.
Jumped the gun, hell !! You were 5 hours late  Excuse me for sleeping! As we say in the trucking industry...... sleep is highly overrated !! Fred, you expecting to get hit this week with the inspection ramp up this week?
Jocketty is no longer in St. Louis because he has no desire to even think about embracing statistics based player evaluation. He and Dusty are about as perfect a match for each other as you can find. Jocketty is, however, much more intelligent about baseball players than Dusty.
The Cubs have actually only played 2 road games against the NL West thus far (Colorado, 1-1). 14 home games, though (3 vs. Ari, 4 vs. SD, 3 vs. LA, 4 vs. Col), and they're 13-1 in those games. Updated, and pretty ridiculous.
The biggest thing I see is that they are minimizing the amount of games lost in new, fun creative ways that has always plagued them in the past. Plus, they occasionally take a walk now.
As awesome as Soriano is, Glenallen Hill has more awesomeness in his pinky finger than Soriano does in his whole body. Unfortuanately for Hill, Sori is better at baseball.
