  1. Oh come on, the Sox are a flat out good team! I never denied that, but they are a flat out good team that caught more breaks than any team I have ever seen in baseball or any other sport for that matter. That's a bold statement. Not really, I'm only 18 after all, so I haven't seen that much. The Sox just happen to be the luckiest team I've yet seen in my life as a sports fan. I think it is just your hatred for them makes it seem like that. They have played good ball the whole playoffs and defintley deserve to win it all this year.
  2. Probably Adam Wainwright. I would think teams would want Lambert more then Wainwright. Wainwright is closer to being ready, but i think Lamber has way more upside the Wainwright who had a horrible 2nd half.
  3. Lidge is just done, even his last 2 performances before the Pujols hr he did not look very good. Now he has given up HRs in the last 2 games to lose. I would use Qualls in the 9th if i was Garner from here out.
  4. They are cocky and arrogant because they celebrated winning a playoff game? AJ even said in his interview he didnt know if it hit and wasnt cocky about it at all he just gave Crede credit for getting the hit. I know you guys hate the White Sox and its understandable but there was nothing arrogant about what AJ did. I'm guessing if this happened to "Cardinal Nation" the outcry would be immense as well. This is completely mild by comparison if this had happened to the Cubs instead of the Angels. I agree that i would be mad and im not saying people here shouldnt be complaining, all i was saying was that I didnt see anything arrogant or cocky out of celebrating a victory. Every team would have celebrated winning a playoff game even if it was on a bad call. Thats all i was saying is that they won the game and have the right to celeberate and nonone said or did anything cocky.

  6. The pitcher did his job, he got three outs. He had to get four outs because of a ump that should be out of a job tomorrow. Agree he did his job, but you have to get over that and get the next out. ITs the same thing as an error, yeah you should have been out of the inning. But at that point he still had a chance to get out of the inning. Crede came up big and got the hit. Yeah the Angels got screwed on the call but they still had a chance to get out of it without damage.
  7. That was a terrible call, but you still have to get the next guy out. Crede came up with a big hit when he needed to. Yeah he shouldnt have been up, but the pitcher still has to get the next guy out that is his job.
  8. They didnt cheat, they got the benefit of a bad call. There is no way that is cheating. I know you hate them and thats understandable but calling it cheating is false.
  9. Listen I went to Eastern in 2003 when the cubs were in the playoffs and as a Cards fan had to put up with so much crap from cubs fans who thought they knew everything. Eastern is like 50% cubs fans and the rest is split between Sox and Cards so you have plenty of support. Those weren't real Cubs fans. Trust me, I hated most of them too. Those were the people who realized the Cubs were in the playoffs and claimed to be lifetime fans, yet couldnt name 2 guys off the bench. Oh I agree with you . I was just saying that there is fans like that on both sides. There are defintley annoying Cardinals fans there that are like that too, every team has that come playoff time. I was just trying to say that it happens on both sides of the fence.

  11. I think Texas might get a game out of Colorado. The buffaloes are a good team and at home this should be a good game.
  12. So you have Furcal at short and nomar on the bench. I dont think there is a chance that Nomar will stay to be a bench player. There are a number of teams that will give him that type of money and let him start.
  13. Yeah i guess their bullpen has a lot of guys, for some reason i thought that their bullpen had a lot of white guys to. I guess the Astros are a lot whiter.
  14. you think they are white, checkout the A's. The only one of their starters i can think of that isnt white is Chavez. All of their starting pitchers and there closer.
  15. No offense, but i doubt that many Sox fans care about support from cubs fans. They have a little more to think about then support from cubs fans.
  16. I think you can look at Pedros stats this year and say it might have been a mistake, but I think you may have to wait until that 3rd year to see how it really works out. The mets could be paying an awful lot for and old aging pitcher that 4th year.
  17. Oh it defintley is the one and only EY
  18. I agree that Roberts isnt the greatest player, but he is there only stolen base threat against Molina. Plus their defense is much better with him in Center and Giles in left.
  19. you guys like to complain about Dustys lineup, check out the Padres lineup for today. 1. LF Eric Young (.500 AVG, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 Runs) 2. 2B Mark Loretta (.200 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 Runs) 3. C Ramón Hernández (.200 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 Runs) 4. CF Brian Giles (.400 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 Runs) 5. SS Khalil Greene (.333 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 1 Runs) 6. 3B Joe Randa (.000 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 Runs) 7. 1B Xavier Nady (.000 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 Runs) 8. RF Ben Johnson (.000 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 Runs) 9. SP Pedro Astacio (.000 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 Runs) I know mulder is a lefty, but no Roberts or Klesko. Plus giles is in CF.
  20. Is there anyway that someone with a subscription can post the report on Reyes for us Cardinals fans. Thank u very much.
  21. Wow that play that Figgins just made was ridiculous, that ball was smoked. The pick at first was nice to.
  22. I dont see how the Phillies need young starting pitching, they have Tejada, Floyd, and Meyers who are all young ang talented. Floyd has been the worst so far and may be a little way off but Tejada proved this year he is ready. IF They trade Abreau they are gonna want a much better package then the one initially proposed on here.
  23. I for one am really not that worried, yeah the Padres won 4 of 7 games, but it was when they were in the middle of their only good month. Plus the Cards offense really woke up the last week. THe last week both Reggie and Walker got hot, and if those guys stay hot the padres shouldnt have much of a chance.
  24. Wow relax, plus I would think you would want to to watch to see them lose.
