  1. How badly did U of I lose today? Did we at least make it competitive?
  2. Wow. I thought he was "GardenFIRED"
  3. Baseball is a game of individual efforts and struggles that leads to a team result. As in, it is mostly individual matchups that decide the game, but in the end the sum of those leads to a team winning or losing.
  4. ROFL http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/pit/211716219.html "In or around the End Zone"
  5. Well they better hurry the hell up.
  6. Is this really goodbye Mike Brown forever????
  7. I'm calling a grand slam by a backup guy. Speaking of backup, why THE HELL isn't Duncan starting????
  8. fljdsaljdsfjS DSAGFKLSAJLJSAg fdljsflajdsf;
  9. QFFT Damn boy, could you resize that so it's not three screen big??
  10. Thank God. I can't wait for this band-aid, misfit, scrap heap team to fall out of the playoffs.
  11. LOL. Preston Wilson batting second. What a travesty.
  12. Bad, bad news about Brown. How many points a game will this affect us?
  13. Many reasons: writers like hustle and trying, and you can't write a story without saying Pierre hustles and tries hard while Ramirez doesn't writers like picking on the "new" baseball where homeruns are big deals, and they really like guys who just put the ball in play writers like the bunt and stolen base and think of them as lost arts pierre played on a WS winner, and Ramirez has played for the Cubs and Pirates. If there's one things writers will fall back on more than anything else, it's the notion that players are winners or losers depending on which teams they've played on. Wow. That's so dead on accurate. Same with most radio show hosts.
  14. I really think this is true. I remember listening to the WGN podcast when they interviewed Juan at the end of the year, and he did NOT sound happy with his experience. That, combined with the fact that Hendry won't pay what Juan is after, leads me to hopefully beleive Pierre won't be back.
  15. This is much better. I'd bump mine up to #2.
  16. What I'm taking from that is that he'll try to put his team in the best position to succeed, based on the numbers. That's all I ask (well, that and to take care of the SP). WOW. If that's true, I that raises my opinion of him to "great choice".
  17. Maybe it's the Cubs fan in me, but I really see Murton following through on that optimistic prediction. And I'm not at all surprised by Hill's prediction. Anyone who saw him after the All-Star break saw the clouds open up and suddenly he's a #2-#3 pitcher. Anyway, this just serves to remind me that we need another big bat so that JJ isn't batting anything higher than #6 in the lineup. Those 25 homers would be nice, but he's not a middle of the order guy. I wonder if Barrett shouldn't bat #2....?
  18. As everyone should. He got his shot. Safe to proclaim BUST?
  19. Yayyy for Hendry.
  20. How about Marshall and Moore for Tejada? Even with steroid rumors that's a gimme. Orioles would never do that.
  21. Sheets is Prior v2.0 Dude just can't stay healthy.
