  1. Funny that you mention it Billy, I remember hearing the WGN post-final game podcast, talking to Juan Pierre, and he didn't sound like he liked the fans or the atmosphere here at all. But then, he was in a slump half the season, a season which almost saw 100 losses. Big surprise that the atmosphere isn't great. All the same, hopefully he holds out for something bigger than Jimbo will give him, I'd rather see someone else in CF next year who either makes less money or produces more than JP.
  2. I don't like sending anyone against Molina. That guy has a cannon.
  3. Again, the Bears exceed all expectations. This is getting like the Superfans predictions...
  4. No arguement here.
  5. I think the baseball team that employs him will be able to name their price rather than the other way around. He's a broken down player who is only continuing for his own personal goals. Anaheim seems like a decent fit. Oakland would to if it weren't for Thomas. I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas priced himself out of Oakland this season. I recall reading somewhere that Beane said Thomas was worth re-signing, even though he'd be more expensive...
  6. I wouldn't say the choice was so easy. I think Thomas was a very good candidate in the AL, and also JoBo a great candidate in the NL.
  7. Guh. That's just absurd.
  8. I think he sounds like the most balanced candidate so far. From what I've read here, I'd be pleased to have him.
  9. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS TERRIFIC NEWS!!!! Thank God I don't have to worry about Sweet Lou managing the Cubs. Praise be to Jebus. Every other candidate mentioned is fine with me, just not Piniella.

I feel obligated to chime in here that Cabrera is FAR better than Crawford will ever be.
  11. I'm rooting for the A's to win it all so Joe Morgan can shut his big fat face.
  12. Obviously that Seattle game had a huge effect. I wonder how those polls would look before the game?
  13. Oy vey.... Out of the frying pan and into the fire? I wonder if Hendry isn't 'delaying' until Giardi gets hired, so then it looks like he couldn't choose him, and it wouldn't be such a PR fiasco.
  14. No way that this is even close. 27-7 BEARS
  15. No kidding, this is gonna be hilarious.
  16. I would hope being Anti-Lou doesn't need to be stated and is simply understood.
  17. I don't think I can add anything to this discussion other than the fact that I thought this game would be MUCH closer. And I'm very, very happy with the results. The Seahawks are probably the best team we're gonna play all year, and it was absolute domination. I'm shocked and overjoyed. This is gonna be a storytale year.
  18. I agree he's taking too much heat for what his job was, but if you want a competent team next year, you and I both know he shouldn't be there.
