  1. I doubt the Cubs will trade Murton. They saw how well he finished the year.
  2. Over half his starts were 7 IP or more. He suffered from a lack of run support, and had a bad September and April, but he's also young and plays in Coors.
  3. I read someplace that his defense was terrible... I heard about lots of "unturned double plays"...
  4. Way to go EPatt!!!!! :o He's doing a great job, and I'm pretty excited about it...
  5. Wow. I guess hell hath no fury like a disappointed Red Sox fan.
  6. Guess I might as well put myself in for 8 years down the line when I have a job and can actually afford them.
  7. How many jerseys do you guys have.....I don't even have one yet...
  8. Elijah Dukes is a hell of a ballplayer, but he makes Ty Cobb look like Santa Claus. Heh. Just spat water at my monitor.
  9. Wow. It's obvious now why he dances around so much and runs backward trying to make things happen. He used to have almost completely free reign on the field whenever the ball was in his hands. That last one against Duke was particularly ridiculous. Exactly my thoughts. No question he has to tone it down a notch against the NFL players, but I can't help but wonder how good he's really gonna be in a year or two.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if it went over $100 for five years.
  11. Wow. Watch this amazing video of Devin Hester returns during his stint at the University of Miami Just make sure to mute the crappy music.
  12. Wow. This contract is gonna be enormous.
  13. If Hester would have been tackled when he ran it out that is where they would have got the ball. It was a huge risk and Hester said the only reason he brought it out was because he seen the Bears have a wall lined up, and the Giants players with their head down walking off the field. Said if they would have been coming towards him he would have downed it no question at all. As for Lovie, I think he was just joking around with the media. Wow I didn't realize what a huge risk it was. That makes it even more amazing!
  14. Alright, who voted for Bonds? :P
  15. Why would this surprise anyone? I mean, I want Soriano, but I expected this kind of price tag. He's coming off an amazing season in a really, really dry FA market. BAM, instant cash. Maybe C. Lee will be cheaper?
  16. It would be low....I wouldn't mind Crisp that much...
  17. Stay away. He's old, and not getting any younger. His power is disappearing rapidly. I'd rather save money and have JJ out there, or save JJ for a better trade. I expect Giles to go into a huge decline this year, ala Burnitz last year.
  18. According to the Associated Press, MLB and the Japanese commissioner's office will make simultaneous announcements tomorrow, Tuesday, at 8 pm EDT, to announce whether the Seibu Lions will accept the bid to negotiate with Daisuke Matsuzaka. The name of the winning team will also be disclosed.
  19. We gave him ANOTHER escape clause???? Good lord, do we never learn? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's back....but there's nothing good that can come of an escape clause.
  20. I think thats the fourth time that reference has been made in this thread. Sweet! Is it four or five for the prize? :P
  21. I Like this one.
  22. I've noticed from a few pictures on eBay that there isn't a red border around the blue numbers or the name on the pinstripes. EDIT: Wow, I REALLY like those '84 and '88 throwbacks.....
