  1. Twitter says FSU. Which means he's UKs.
  2. John groce is just getting started.
  3. Boy, he has to go doesn't he? His stock can't get much higher. I disagree. I think he ought to stay and prove he can actually be an efficient and be a true point guard. I think that by taking over for Siva and improving his shot selection and efficiency he could make a lot of progress up the draft board. I think he's a round 2 guy at this point. Well if hes a round two guy now I guess he could move up. I thought he would be a first round guy though.
  4. Boy, he has to go doesn't he? His stock can't get much higher.
  5. What sucks is the title is so misleading, how could anyone know what it's even about.
  6. Well played. How was the NCAA experience for you, top halfer?
  7. well, Billy should have given more consideration to the very real possibility of his coach being canned or of leaving for another job. Just one part of the decision-making process. Of course Johnny could always be considered culpable for being a terrible judge of character himself, but his coach blatantly misled in him in selling him what he thought was a dream. Johnny's coach is a pathological scumbag that can never be trusted and will do the same thing over and over and over at the same school. The coach that cuts Billy only does so once or twice, whenever he moves. Once or twice, huh? Interesting. In Groce's first (full) off-season as coach, Illinois already has had four players transfer. In Crean's five (full) off-seasons, so far Indiana has had four transfers (five if you want to count Matt Roth; heck, six if you want to count Ron Patterson). So which program is doing a worse job fulfilling its obligations to student-athletes? How many of our guys have publically bitched about getting ran off? Hell even Dan Dakich called you guys out on Matt Roth.
  8. Who learned his craft from Larry Brown at Kansas. But yes, you're correct.
  9. They had to, it was written in his contract he got an extension of he won coach of the year.
  10. Wtf, does he know something more about Haith's fate than everyone else? Bad choice.
  11. *swoon*. No. 1 prospect in the system by the end of the year. I can see that scenario playing out. Hey now, I predicted that about a month ago. I can definitely see the writers/scouts who value proximity/nearest impact to the majors being higher on Soler than Baez after the year even if Baez continues developing in a positive trend. If Baez has a positive year I can't see him getting passed, based just upon position.
  12. to be perfectly honest, i'd probably draft McGary before GRIII if the draft were today GRIII's not much more than a catch and shoot guy/fast-break finisher at this point, and his defense isn't good at all, so you'd just be drafting him as a Gerald Green-type project The NBA drafts more on what guys can and will become. GR3 is going to be a much better pro.
  13. I don't have an issue with that. You bite on a pump fake, you deserve negative consequences. You should. If the offensive guy leans into the defender, that should never, ever be called a foul. If the the defender stays vertical, you're rewarding the offensive guy for initiating contact. It's a crap play and awful officiating when it gets called. Nope, still don't. Don't bite on a pumpfake. Lol, what was described is a charge. You as a defender have the right to jump up vertically.
  14. We will start to hit more, but yeah everyone knew this wasn't a great team.
  15. He classified down a grade. Let's just say, well, he wouldn't be going to Michigan if he wasn't really good at basketball. How exactly does this work and how do state activities associations allow it to happen? I remember when I found out Tyler Hansbrough was two months older than me yet graduated a year later, which pretty much guaranteed them a state title in 2005. The whole thing seems absurd and unfair. Depends on state. One of our better players wasn't allowed to play his senior year for us as he turned 20. Granted that's been fifteen years ago.
  16. Is this just all a result of overuse? It seems his stuff is still decent.
  17. you"re just saying that because you have a man crush on him Full blown, him and Eric Hosmer.
  18. If only everyone was as level headed as you are. Baby steps, if only everyone was as level headed as my 5-year-old. At what point was anyone saying they expected this start to hold up? Oh wait, no one did.
  19. If only everyone was as level headed as you are.
  20. McGary is 20 years old, he will be 21 by the draft. I was 17 as a freshman. I know he had one year of prep school, but how is he that old?
