    Except for that whole not getting on base thing, I guess. That's why I said projects as, not is. If he can get on base more often, that touch of power he seems to have could make him a much cheaper Michael Bourn. What part of a career .324 OBP projects to a good leadoff man? Short, fast guys leadoff dude. Plus he can handle the heat. Bass fishing.

    Promotion to Tennessee by mid-June? If not earlier. Alcantara walked his first PA tonight too. I really hope so. The sooner he gets there, the better the odds of a 2014 debut are (obvious statement is obvious, I know). Plus he'll be out of Daytona by hurricane season then as well.

    Insanely lucky. He's a decent player but not anywhere near this good. You're trying to say he isn't nearly Ted Williams level good? The point being that he hasn't even been Ted Williams good for a 2 week sample. The numbers aren't indicative of how well he has played. We really just need him to be better than average.

    As much as I am in favor of anything that helps increase the chances of Iowa beating Michigan, I hate seeing players like him and Burke leaving early. The NBA is stupid. Hardaway yes, Burke I understand him going. I just meant from a standpoint of liking to watch them play. Oh yeah, but that's been going on forever. Magic Johnson only played two years of college.

    Not surprising. Just because his suspension is over doesn't mean the Cubs will promptly send him up. Obviously I was wrong, but it does surprise me. He's been keeping active in Arizona. What does he gain from sitting out more? Spitballing but possibly just travel delays, a teaching lesson, anger management of some sort in Arizona or possibly a little tune up before they send him to Kane County or Tennessee because they don't want him to deal with certain elements in the FSL? Man he was hitting so well, I sure hope they don't demote him.

    I'm going to be watching a lot of Braves' baseball this year. Amazingly, they're good and they didn't have to suck for a half-decade to do it. Not sure how that works. Trade raping Arizona helps.
