  1. I'm worried about my next pick I told you getting to me after looking at things. I think he'll get to you....I'm more worried about getting some actual closers by the time I pick. :)

  3. Tim wasting no time. :)
  4. You can leave them with me. You pick twice yet before I pick again.
  5. Davidson lost again last night, to the Citadel, at home, by 18. I think their at-large chances are now gone.
  6. I was going to pick cueto with my next pick if he were still there. I am extremely saddened that I disappointed you so. Right! :pig: Actually, I had him on my prep spreadsheet as a potential first rounder. The only thing that kept me from him at this point is pitching in GAB. I'm worried about the fact that he gave up 29 hr last year, 18 of them being in cincy. I think that's a trend that will continue and that it will take him a few years to learn to control the walks & hr. Well, that plus the whole Dusty factor, too. I had him as my 2nd rounder (well, first rounder if Roberts was gone, Tim knew this), but I was down to the last decent 1B I had on my list by the time I picked.
  7. Whose turn is it?....oh.
  8. Just for curiosity, what's the rule on relief-eligible pitchers that start? Do they lose relief eligibility as soon as they make a rotation?
  9. By the time Chuck and I pick again, we'll be left arguing between Aaron Heilman and Jeremy Affeldt.
  10. Yikes, and I think the roadies for 1994 were even worse. I'm all for incorporating the stars and stripes into the uni design, but there's got to be a more subtle way.
  11. Son of a ... :-) I'm telling you, once one person takes a closer, it's all over. I bet I come close to taking 2 of them with my next two picks and then worry about 3b and catcher later. We'll see what happens, but that's how it usually goes. And my main concern about not having a pick until the end of the 4th round is realized.
  12. Let's see if Weber benching McCamey for the last 8 mins or so of the first half will have the desired effect of waking him up.
  13. *mind is blown*
  14. Only took Illinois 13 minutes to run their offense. Nice to see the team could make it tonight.
  15. Teams combining to shoot about 20% from the field so far.

  18. Good pick Buddiga. All the same... *sigh of relief*
  19. That would be really unfair, though. IMO, it's gotta be yes or no. yeah, you can't allow one and then say no to the rest. I wasn't really clear. I mean I'd say just allow them for this draft since precedent was set, but I'd be in favor of disallowing draft day trades in the future, or only allowing them among non-keepers.
  20. That said, even if the next 3 picks get in, I'm leaving the office.....now.
  21. I have a feeling Adam's working on a trade and waiting on a ruling to see if that's OK or not.
  22. I'd agree that allowing trades for keepers not involved in the draft kind of invalidates the roster paring that was done Saturday. However, I don't see the point in rolling back trades that have already been made, either. I'd vote to either not allow further trades, or not allow trades involving someone that was a keeper from this point forward.
  23. I don't see TA around, so Tampa takes Ryan Doumit. EDIT: No, I didn't make that up, he sent it to me.
  24. I have Tampa's pick, but if he's around he can make it himself all the same.
  25. I've been writing them down, but it's impossible to chart who needs what at this point. I have one need that I'm hoping and praying I can still somehow fill decently at 32, and another need that I've all but given up on filling decently, hoping I can find a diamond in the rough later.
