  3. easy there jaydee
  4. It wasn't, but for some reason Yahoo thinks they'll all score the same number of points.
  5. Thanks to Peyton Manning, I have another decision, at WR: Garcon vs. Houston, Nelson vs. New Orleans, or Bennett vs. Atlanta?
  6. What about that one guy who listed "Bears" as his first wildcard team?
  7. The Bears are good enough to have a top 5 defense and special teams. If they can avoid having a bottom 5 offense, I like their chances.
  8. The difference between a RB that averages 4 carries a game an a RB that averages 3 carries a game is a greater difference than that between the #1 kicker and the #32 kicker.
  9. Yes, and he should've at least consulted statistics before writing that.
  10. Actually..... they've been better......... CUBS are on a pace for: Compared to: 2010 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 .115 GIDPs 124 135 136 128 135 129 Go CUBS !! I have a feeling that's due more to being much better at getting people on base in previous years. Fewer people on base, fewer opportunities to hit into DPs.
  11. On the plus side, there exists someone that I would like less as a Cub manager than Ryne Sandberg, which I previously didn't think possible.
  12. At least we have the computers on our side. It's the computers on one side, and Bill Simmons and staff on the other. I'll take the computers. I do feel the Bears are much closer to being a wildcard playoff team than the worst team in football. And for all the breaks they got last year, they got the opposite two years ago. The Grantland author basically spent two sentences talking specifically about gambler's fallacy and then specifically used it to say the Bears could be the worst team in football.
  13. At least we have the computers on our side. More than last year, even.
  14. I'd go with Amendola, since it'll take a few weeks to determine not only who the Bears #1 target will be, but who any of the targets will be. At least with Amendola you know he's the #1 target. If you prefer gambling, though, I'd go Bennett over Williams.
  15. Also, their projected wildcards: AFC: Baltimore, NY Jets (Miami, Indy following) NFC: Atlanta, Chicago (NY Giants, Minnesota following) The NFC is projected to have 6 above average teams in Philadelphia, Green Bay, New Orleans, Atlanta, Chicago and the NY Giants. The worst projected NFC team is Seattle, but pick any NFC West team for that one. The AFC is projected to have 9 above average teams in Pittsburgh, New England, San Diego, NY Jets, Baltimore, Houston, Miami, Indianapolis and Jacksonville. The worst projected AFC team is Tennessee.
  16. Schaub. Yahoo is terrible. Unless the Bears win 31-10 with Cutler throwing for 4 TDs. Then Cutler.
  17. Bears 31, Falcons 10. Go big or go home. Plus it'll give a chance for fans on both teams to overreact wildly to a single result.
  18. Eighth hit for the Cubs is a triple to deep right.
  19. Well, of course he'll do that after coming so close to another World Series title in front of the BFIB.
  20. White Sox overtake Detroit for AL Central. Cardinals overtake Braves/Giants for NL Wildcard. Division Series: White Sox over Red Sox in 4 Yankees over Rangers in 4 Cardinals over Phillies in 4 Brewers over D-Backs in 3 Championship Series: White Sox over Yankees in 6 Cardinals over Brewers in 6 World Series: White Sox over Cardinals in 7 NLCS MVP: Theriot ALCS MVP: Buehrle WS MVP: AJ Pierzynski
  21. Tonight, we've switched Tim Lincecum and Randy Wells. Let's see if anyone notices.
  22. 7 hits so far: 4 HRs, 2 long doubles off the wall, and an infield single.

    week 21

It appears Randy Wells and Tim Lincecum have switched bodies for a day.
  24. Meanwhile, Wells has just 77 pitches through 6.
