Not sure of a good place for this, but this is my thread, so I'll just shill myself here... I'm in a blogging contest over at TeamRankings.com and qualified for the second round. I'm not sure if I'll get to the third (4 advance) since most of the rest of the group has, you know, blogs, but hey, I got one article published, and I'll get another as soon as I finish it. My next article is going to be analyzing the success of the "pod system" after 10 years of it.

Agreed he should drawn up a make the shot play. He shouldn't have called timeout...twice. They weren't going to get a shot off when he called timeout. They had a guy wide open in the corner.

John Isner has had a good month. He beat Federer, on clay, in Switzerland, and now he's in the semis of the Indian Wells Masters tournament against Djokovic tomorrow.

UConn is being exposed. That's three Big East teams that have looked bad today. EDIT: Of course, Iowa State does have to remember that the game doesn't end as soon as you go up 20.

That would fall under being a fan which IMO is perfectly fine. Being a homer (when used negatively) is IMO completely different from that. There's a difference between being a "Ron Santo" homer and being a "Hawk Harrelson" homer. Santo got really excited when his team did well, and didn't know too much about the opponent. Harrelson gets really excited when his team does well, and actively disparages the opponent on air. King leans more Santo, and Funk leans more Harrelson.

UNC-Asheville just used their last timeout down 6 with 2 minutes to play. If they had any thoughts about winning, that probably wasn't a good idea.

But if the foul is "on the shot", and the shot doesn't count because of a shot-clock violation, then technically, the foul shouldn't count.
