Have similar issues with Guillen as I have with Tejada. Is gonna be 32 next year (actually turns 32 sunday). Won't be able to handle SS defensively much longer, if he can now. He has 52 errors there the last 2 years, with a fielding % under .960.....well worse than his career numbers. He's been pretty bad in the 2nd half of the season, with a .723 OPS since the break. He's still been better than Tejada, offensively, in recent years, so he is a better option than Miggy, IMO. Between Guillen, Tejada and Renteria, the Cubs should be able to upgrade SS next year if they are willing to trade. Renteria would probably be the cheapest to acquire talent-wise, but has a good chance of being least productive offensively, but best defensively. Guillen would likely be the most attractive offensively and the least attractive defensively, and would probably cost the most to acquire. Tejada is probably the biggest injury risk, despite being the youngest of the group (all will be 32 next year). At this point, I'd probably go Renteria, Guillen, Tejada if all are available, simply because of what I think it would take to get each.
