  1. Small school guys going like crazy. Jason Taylor is gone. Isn't that 2 DEs for Miami?
  2. Your stream must be 2-3 minutes faster than mine. NFL network released it. Much better coverage than ESPN. Mayock called about 90% of the picks yesterday. His rankings are nutty, but he knows his stuff.
  3. Nope. Kevin Smith for Detroit.
  4. FWIW, I think the Bears take DT and WR in round 3. QB, OG, and FS will come in the late rounds. I like the value in the 3rd, with Pat Sims, Dre Moore, and Marcus Harrison at DT. You have some great after the catch type WRs in Caldwell, Manningham, Doucet, and Earl Bennett. Value picks at other positions of need could be, Oneil Cousins- OL, Carl Nicks- OL, DaJuan Morgan-FS, Reggie Smith- CB/S, Roy Scheuning and John Greco- OG. No QB seems worthy of a 3rd rounder right now. I too would like Josh Johnson in the 4th.
  5. I don't think a HR was needed. The Bears are more than 1 big-time player away from being an elite team again. Just a "solid basehit" type of draft should put them in back in the playoffs with a good shot of winning at least 1 playoff game.
  6. I don't think I would have let Soto bat there. Let Blanco pinch hit for him. I would have tried to save face at that point.
  7. Instead let's kill time by having an argument about whether or not Lou is abusing Zambrano by having him throw over 100 pitches in a 5 -0 game when we have 3 long relievers in the bullpen that need work. That is always fun. Not really much to argue there.
  8. Zambrano should not be pitching. And Theriot should not be at SS. But one is for today, while the other is ever.
  9. The Don with a solid outing today. 5 2/3, 3 hits, 3 walks, 0 ERs, but just 2 Ks. 9 groundouts, 5 flyouts and a pickoff.
  10. Cubs have left a crapload of runners on base since the start of the Mets series.
  11. No RB after Forte. Bears could have waited a round.
  12. nope. Terrell Thomas
  13. Gotta be Connor here right?
  14. I never got the impression that teams looked at what other teams were doing this much in the NFL draft. I don't remember this many runs on positions (OL, CB, WR) and this many trades because teams are so well in tuned to what other teams will do. Nor have I seen so many passing on a need because a run hasn't started on them yet. Very fun draft today.
  15. Steelers have what on some people's boards were the top WR and RB. I think OL, ILB, and CB were bigger needs, but they definitely brought in the most talent (along with Dallas) of the playoff teams from last year.
  16. I'd like Manningham or Doucet.
  17. That's exactly who he reminds me of too. Maybe a little slower, but similar running style and slightly tougher. I dont remember how fast Smith was, but Forte ran a 4.46 at the combine..and the way he snakes through holes and uses his vision is a mirror of Smith Wasn't Smith a world-class sprinter? could have been, but I dont remember Yeah he was, that's why I said Forte was a little slower. That kinda sounds like I'm being an a-hole, but I'm not trying to be.
  18. And Randle El, Santana Moss, and Chris Cooley. Solid group of weapons there. I don't understand the Davis pick, though, because with the talent they have at WR now, the only way Davis sees the field is the rare 2 TE sets they will run.
  19. All the reaches in this draft has led to some top 25 players slipping.
  20. I'm happy to go to a good situation, with a winning team and a great QB, and hopefully we can get back to the Superbowl and bring the Lombardi home for the city of Philadelphia. I should be able to step right in there and help the kicking game, and hopefully compete for the starting WR spot.
  21. Skins pick a TE, on the same roster as Chris Cooley.
  22. That's exactly who he reminds me of too. Maybe a little slower, but similar running style and slightly tougher.
