    Since the bars won't be selling alcohol after the 7th inning, it will encourage people to pile into the streets where it is much safer.

    Just keep telling yourself that every Cubs starter will go 7 innings and then hand the ball over to Marmol and Wood. If that happens, we will never even realize that Howry is there.

    I'm ready for the playoffs and it is only natural to be nervous, but I'm not any more worried about the Dodgers than I would be any other team. Anything can happen, but the Cubs are the better team and should win the series.

    Gaudin or Wuertz may come in and walk a couple batters, or they may get the Cubs out of a huge jam. Howry, on the other hand, is almost certain to come in and get hit hard. I would much prefer an pitcher who is inconsistently good over a pitcher who is consistently bad.

    In fairness to Nick Swisher, that check swing strike 3 call was absurdly bad. I can't argue that, but I found it comical that Hawk thinks the White Sox should get the best umpires because their game is more important than everyone else's.

    The Sox loss was clearly the umpire's fault. The White Sox should be able to hand pick their crew before every series, everyone knows that.
