  1. One step forward, two steps back. Hey wait, isn't that backwards? If the Cubs release Silva, do they have to pay his entire remaining salary up front, or does it still get spread out over 2 years?
  2. I'm all for it. Does anyone know whether there would be a significant revenue difference between a jumbotron or a fixed advertising board? I would guess
  3. Come on umpires... Stop throwing fuel on the instant replay fire.
  4. Lovie and company should be embarrassed. They were outcoached like no other. Why would Lovie be embarassed? He gets outcoached nearly every week.
  5. Run the ball, get the first down, then spike it to stop the clock. Easier said than done I know.
  6. yeah, he didn't think he could beat the safety, who was totally turned around on the play. he should have split that gap and taken it to the house. Maybe Hester was analyzing the amount of time left on the clock and realized that the Falcons would just drive right down the field again for the win.
  7. Good defense and running... Bears blue collar football!
  8. Not really, but the defensive line isn't really capable of getting a pass rush without blitzing.
  9. At least now we're guaranteed to get the ball back.
  10. Not since Marcus Robinson have the Bears had a good fade-catching receiver.
  11. Is that what the Bears worked on during their off week, the 12 man punt return? And why can't these guys hold onto the damn BALL?!?!?
  12. Pisa leaving on the cart. Good season pal.
  13. Average? Average runners don't get less than 2 YPC There isn't a running back alive who could gain any yards with this O-line. It's completely on them. There are Falcon defenders in the backfield before our RB even get the hand off. So how long before Beekman gets a shot at guard? The Bears ran the ball well last year, so Beekman must have at least been respectable. I can't say the same for Omiyale.
  14. Average? Average runners don't get less than 2 YPC They might behind this O-line.
  15. Cutler isn't going to last at this rate. Has he had a solid pocket to throw from once today?
  16. It sure doesn't help build a minor league system when the GM loses out on draft picks by mismanaging arbitration.
  17. If the organization really does have Sandberg targeted as the next manager, then I'd much prefer they give him a trial run as hitting coach at the major league level rather than just throwing him into the fire in 2011. Either he will do a good job and solidify himself as a managerial candidate, or he won't and the Cubs can decide to look elsewhere.
  18. there's vomit everywhere Also, some of the food is really bad and overpriced, but you have to order it anyway and it will remain on the menu for several years.
  19. I heard Lou on the radio after Colvin's first few games saying "We're probably gonna rest him the rest of the year." I have no idea what the logic was behind that decision.
  20. I'm honestly fine with either one of them as the 5th starter. We have 4 solid starting pitchers and Gorzellany, Smardzija, and Marshall to compete for the 5th spot. Barring any trades, the focus should really be on the offense and bullpen.
