  1. Uhhh.. What the hell Hester?
  2. They have them right where they want them.
  3. Good job. Killed a lot of time and pin them deep.
  4. Power rankings can eat a fat one. Just win. Agreed. I don't care what the national TV audience thinks.
  5. Nothing but runs here. If Cutler doesn't have the arm strength, they can't risk him underthrowing one here for a pick-6.
  6. That was the ultimate bend right there.
  7. Yeah, he has turned into the slow, white linebacker from Tecmo Super Bowl that nobody wants to control.
  8. Urlacher pinning him down. What was that all about?
  9. Stafford outrunning Urlacher... so sad.
  10. What a time to cut away to commercial.
  11. Damn. McClellan is all over the field.
  12. Lack of discipline by Detroit? Who woulda thunk it?
  13. He was in on 2 plays in a row. I can't remember that last time I've seen that.
  14. Maybe the Cubs can sign both Grace and Josh Hamilton and get a 2-for-1 deal on their chaperone? In all seriousness, even if you put Grace's legal trouble aside, I can't imagine that dropping him in the middle of Wrigleyville would be healthy for him.
  15. If Wood is truly interested in broadcasting and he wants to stay with the Cubs organization, this opportunity doesn't come around very often. Sure the radio job might open up next year, but I imagine that doesn't pay nearly as well as the TV side. In other words, if this is what he wants to do he should jump at the chance now instead of waiting around for a few years. I understand that he wants to spend time with his family, but he would still have 83 games in Chicago every year plus an entire offseason where he doesn't have to worry about getting in shape to pitch. Whether he would be a good analyst, I really don't know, but I would certainly be willing to give him a shot.
  16. Does this mean Michael Brenly is gone too?
  17. A lot of fans I know are already calling for him, but I can't see it. He's a train wreck at this point. Personally I would enjoy Mark Grace in the booth, but that would be a potential PR nightmare.
  18. Great battle by Nunez there.
  19. Why are people ignoring the simple economics of reducing ticket prices? Theoretically a reduce in ticket prices should lead to an increase in attendance (of course we know there are a lot of other factors involved). Just because the Cubs are reducing ticket prices does not mean they will lose that same amount of revenue. If they were already selling out every game and decided to reduce ticket prices, that would be another story, but that is not the case when there is inventory available. I don't see how this reduction in prices is a bad sign. We know the Cubs are not going to compete in 2013 and we can also be pretty confident that once they start winning, ticket prices will go right back up.
  20. He doesn't look a day over 92.
