  1. I thought that initially, but JD brought it up as well. You can't not go and risk them turning 2.
  2. I'm all for that, but maybe don't slide into a guy's legs at the end of the play.
  3. It doesn't seem like there is any hard innings limit, but more of an effort to keep his pitch counts relatively low (in the 70-80 range) to allow him to continue pitching into October. I doubt this was the plan originally, but right now they can't afford for him not to pitch.
  4. It is hard to believe Rizzo is still only 36 years old. It feels like forever ago that he was here. He is more than 3 years younger than the other washed up First Baseman the Cubs just signed.
  5. I'm not worried about any magic number. I want the Giants to keep winning every game and knock the Mets out of the playoffs.
  6. I'm more than willing to entertain locking Nico up for awhile longer, but there is certainly more than "zero reason" not to commit to a 2B contract up to age 35 for a guy whose value is made up largely from speed and defense.
  7. Someone give me the stats showing Carlos Santana is just getting unlucky and isn't actually terrible. Yeah, I know, incredibly small sample size with the Cubs, but they have so many better options.
  8. I hate the Marquee Network backdrop in the booth. It makes it seem like the announcers are sitting in a home studio rather than actually being in a ballpark broadcast booth.
  9. That is the most uninspired AFL group we have seen in awhile.
  10. And then we cloned Justin Turner with the Carlos Santana signing.
  11. Did Santos or Taylor kick the ball off at the end? I assumed it was Santos, but Matt Abbatacola is saying it was Taylor. At least that would mean Ben knew Santos didn't have the leg, but it still doesn't excuse the kick not getting through the end zone.
  12. There are absolutely unemployed former college kickers that can easily outkick Santos. Screw accuracy from 35. Give me a guy who can make ball go far.
