You aren't wrong. Watching the rebuilding Cubs teams and enjoying the occasional sparks of hope was so much more fun than watching this bunch of underachieving clowns. -
I haven't been in the fire Maddon camp, and I still doubt that is the answer... But if Theo/Jed think there is any chance that could salvage the season, the move has to be made now.

Big dude with a bad foot injury giving flashbacks to big dudes past who had nagging foot injuries that shortened their careers significantly, or worse. Makes sense, but seems like a risk worth taking at this point in the draft.
