But that's still considered a game he played that he did not get a hit, thus the hit streak ends right? That's how I always interpreted it, but I could be wrong. No, it's a plate appearance, but not an official at bat, so it doesn't end the hitting streak.

Wisdom looks great so far. I still think the most realistic scenario for Schwindel is that he is a serviceable placeholder until the Cubs can find a lefty power bat to fill that spot.

Keegan has been great in this long relief role, but do we expect he'll end up back in the rotation at some point? I think I would rather have him in these semi high leverage piggyback spots a couple times a week.

Smallish sample size, but Hermosillo has not shown anything offensively or defensively.

Plus there is always the small risk of losing the DH in the event of injury when your only backup catcher is the DH. It's probably not something a team wants to get into the habit of doing on a regular basis.
