  1. Why is Hatterberg playing first? I thought they traded Casey to make room at first for Dunn? Then they traded Pena to Boston for pitching.
  2. Not a bad outing by Eyre after a very scary start.
  3. Big K. Big Boobirds flying around today.
  4. I like the decision to bring a flyball pitcher in right now. That was scary.
  5. Neifi is at 2nd right now, isn't he? Could be swapping def positions.
  6. The only two pitchers on our entire staff I feel confident wont be completely wild are Bobby Howry and Grey Maddux. (Prior when he's on would count, be he's on the DL right now)
  7. Awww... I suppose the streak had to come to an end sometime... After all, it can't always go towards Dunn.
  8. Why would dusty bring Neifi in here instead of Mabry?
  9. We sure are finding some scrappy ways to score, aren't we?
  10. I'll admit it. When I saw we had picked up Pagan off waivers before spring training, I was somewhat upset with the move. But I'll give the scouts some credit... this kid looks good.
  11. Not that in itself, but the way you're speaking down to everybody isn't necessary. My apologies. It just is a little frustrating to see all the negativity when the cubs are 0-0 and it's the first game of the season. I didn't think I was speaking down to anyone. Well I'm almost certainly overreacting myself. I guess it's that negativity. All is forgiven now that we're back on top!
  12. Not that in itself, but the way you're speaking down to everybody isn't necessary.
  13. Does this really need to start 5 innings into the season? The comment itself or what he was talking about? Well two-fold. 1) The presumption that today's performance by Z is gonna = what we do for the next 161 games. 2) The posting style that reflects that the sky is falling everytime the Cubs don't perform Perfectly (i.e don't score a runner in scoring position with less than 2 out EVERY time we have the chance), even though no team performs perfectly. But maybe I just need to ignore the posts. Congratulations, you're an optomist. We get it already.
  14. That was the most beautiful ugly thing I've seen in a long time.
  15. It's a good thing they kept Hee Seop Choi around as a back...up... Oh... nevermind.
  16. Get used to it. Yea we should write him off after 1 reach on an error going to the opposite field, a fly out to the opposite field warning track/wall, 1 rbi, 1 misjudged ball, and 1 K. That and his really bad previous two years, his mediocre one the year before that, and his only moderately good one coming way back in 2002... and he barely topped an 850 OPS in that season
