  1. Everytime Len says "And it's up to Neifi with 2 outs..." an Angel's wings fall off.
  2. What was Murton swinging at that for?
  3. Came out of his shoes swinging at that one... Edit: Jones with a hit! He's not gonna turn into Christian Guzman without a fight.
  4. Popout to Kent. I'm kinda hoping his concussion gets the best of him in an inopportune moment tonight...
  5. On the bright side of things, Aramis will be a freaking monster for a few weeks/months when he breaks out of this slump.
  6. Maddux pitches to the conditions. The game vs the Reds at Wrigley the wind was howling out and he was still awesome. So saying he has pitched under good conditions is just wrong. How so? The Cinci game was his worst of the year.
  7. c'mon already! I need to watch this game!
  8. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  9. Pitt is up 12-3 now. On a scary note, it seems to be an up day in offense for the league.
  10. Take note, Zambrano, and replicate. And a good chunk of those just went to Robles.
  11. I think they would have faced each other in the WS - when Kenny was an Indian. The did - Game 1 and Game 5. and game 3 of the 2003 NLDS
  12. Blarg! I keep trying to get into retrosheet cause I'm pretty sure lofton has faced off against Maddux before, but it wont come up. Is anybody else having troubles with Retrosheet?
  13. Let's just hope the Dodgers' injury bug doesn't rub off on us... And I thought we had it bad...
  14. The kid is for real, to be sure. Although anybody expecting him to stay anywhere near his 1.706 OPS is insane. He realistically could be over .900 every year for 3-5 years though. Edit: He just got a walk, his OPS is up to 1.716.
  15. Oh, I see what you're saying now. And while that is technically true, it's still rather pointless not to adjust the standings to help make the hypothetical situations easier to spot should a shift in the standings occur. But then again, seeing the Cards near the bottom of the pack is kinda fun. :D
  16. Yeah, but that's essentially what the standings are intended for.
  17. FWIW, Slap Nasty is on his way to a career high in SO this season. He's on pace for 59.
  18. And Mr. Clutch himself comes up...
  19. I'm starting to miss seeing Jose Macias roam center field...
  20. And Duke is officially gone. Thank the lord...
