    It would be better if he was doing that for the cubs... Did we take him in the major league or minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft? If we took him in the minor league phase where we could place him in the minors I guess it'd be nice to have him. But he's still about the turn 26, has never played above the AA level. Right now the backup OF is kinda filled with Floyd, Pagan, and Ward. It's a nice story, but I just don't see any room for him. I believe the cubs got him in the rule 5 draft, but only took them because they had a prior arrangement with Cincinnati to ship him there for cash

    dunno if this has been stated in marquis facts but I did witness him steal a base, granted maddux stole one on the same day. So if that pitching thing don't work out for him then he can be the next slappy

    very nice....yea i just read all the spring training news all day today (easy class load on friday) and broke down and pre-ordered MLB 2K7 and spent all xmas break redoing rosters for this season on MLB 2k6. Give me a month and i'll have that Cubbies swagger

    well i'll take marquis cheap over the meche 5 year deal he signed....but as for the four year deal we had on the table...im takin meche all day long baby, all day. at least we have a lot of starting pitchers now, and because its the xmas season...MAYBE MARQUIS WILL PITCH REALLY WELL AND BE A STEAL....but once jan. 1 hits this signing is horrible
