  1. The Cubs used to be a mediocre franchise, but Andy and his people have turned it into what it is now - a heaping pile of garbage.
  2. Pie won't be available to trade for Cabrera. Pie is going to be sent to the Marlins as compensation for signing Joe "I had to be forced to play the kids" Girardi. Murton will be traded for the rights to Todd Noel.
  3. That's like deciding that Fettucine Alfredo is too fattening, so you have a bacon and mayonnaise sandwich instead.
  4. Chances Cedeno does something stupid in this inning: 78%
  5. LOL! Thanks for picking me up. I left that runner on third with fewer than two outs and you knocked him in. Come to think of it, I'm a perfect Cub!
  6. Don't be ridiculous. Miller will be excellent in his appearances the remainder of this year and Buffet Boy will sign him to a three-year, $24 million deal. "We're tickled to have Wade in the fold. He's a warrior who has worked hard to get himself back in pitching shape. His record speaks for itself. Plus, he brought me a big block of cheese." Miller will then proceed to make us long for the days of Shawn Estes.
  7. You guys forgot the third option. Trading away lots of good young talent in a misguided attempt to become "respectable" and "compete within the division". This is the course of action The Ridiculous Hendry will pursue!
  8. Harry Hendry isn't frustrated. He's as happy as can be - it's nickel wing night!
  9. "But the facts say that at every level it's pitching first, then defense and then timely hitting." - Jeromy Burnitz Now I see why RumDum liked Burnitz so much. They're equally stupid.
  10. The Cubs would be better off bringing Don Kessinger out of retirement rather than play the truly awful Ronny Cedeno.
  11. I expect Hendry to order a plate of ziti.
  12. Leave Murton alone in LF. Add a monster RH platoon bat in RF, like Craig Wilson. Get a CF with some power. Find a second baseman that can lead off effectively. Easier said than done, especially with Buffet Boy at the helm.
  13. What new manager? Harry Hendry still thinks RumDum's the man! The contract extension is in the works!
  14. The Chicago Blunders. I like it.
  15. Not mine, so I can't take credit: Hendry plate discipline = not going for fourths at Golden Corral...
  16. Bruce, watch your back. I imagine Andy is planning to have you whacked even as we speak. You may want to hire someone to taste your food when you go out to eat.
  17. With Bobby Howry's arm hanging by a thread from overuse, Baker brings him in to pitch the ninth with a FIVE RUN lead. Dusty is a great manager!
  18. Well, this sets up Ryan "Should be a short order cook at a truck stop" Dempster for a particularly spectacular blown save.
  19. Of course, it's not really Cedeno's fault. He is a position player product of the Cubs farm system, so, by definition, he's garbage.
  20. Neifi Perez is so much better than Ronny Cedeno it's not even worth discussing. Macias is closer, but I'd still say Jose's better.
  21. Ronny Cedeno is very possibly the worst baseball player I have ever seen.
  22. ...the Cubs' GM and Jim Hendry should be setting pins in a bowling alley.
  23. The Cubs will shut him down pitching-wise, but will use him as a pinch hitter. He will be hit by a pitch, shattering his right elbow and ending his career.
  24. I'd much rather have him working that way with Von that up in the majors, sitting on the bench and working with The Ridiculous Gene Clines. Fixed.
  25. Have no fear - they'll put on a nice little run here soon to justify RumDum's new two-year extension.
