  1. it's called basketball season.
  2. Auburn just got boned on a late hit penalty....bs
  3. georgia got boned on the roughing the passer call during that drive I didn't see that play...it was questionable? ...just saw the replay and Auburn got a break there.
  4. georgia got boned on the roughing the passer call during that drive I didn't see that play...it was questionable?
  5. I'm loving the Illinois - OSU game... Auburn - Georgia tied at 17.
  6. Yeah, it was rather pathetic..no one touched him.
  7. Auburn trails 17-10 at the half. This is the first time they've trailed at the half all season..
  8. Auburn was down 17-3 and on the brink of letting the game get out of hand. Cox completed a huge 3rd down pass earlier in the drive and showed poise calling several nice audibles....17-10 Georgia.
  9. Georgia beating Auburn 10-3 right now, and they do look like the better team....Stafford has a huge arm and has much better presence in the pocket compared to Cox.
  10. Auburn beats Georgia 24-17
  11. Why announce the move now, though? It would be just as easy to wait until February to talk about Dempster's move to the rotation. I agree with you. I can't think of any good reason to publicly announce that Dempster is headed back to the rotation right now.
  12. I cannot defend pulling Sean from the rotation and inserting Trachsel. I truly can't fathom what happened there....However, I'm hoping that Dempster moving to the rotation signifies that Marshall is going to be included in a somewhat significant trade. I know we live in bizzarro world, but I can hope, right?
  13. The equation isn't even as simple as listing the players that could be acquired with the additional 12 million. One must consider how much and how quickly Soriano and AROD's ability will decline over the course of their contracts. I'm not clairvoyant, but I go with AROD. The Soriano contract is going get ugly and quickly, IMO.
  14. I don't think he's holding his cards close to his chest in this scenario...that's wishful thinking, guys. The organization simply will not take on the AROD contract after committing so much to Soriano.
  15. If Hendry had not have overcommitted on the Soriano contract, it's very possible AROD would be playing for the Cubs next year. Of course, the Cubs probably wouldn't have made the playoffs in '07, but we would have been much more likely to make the playoffs in the future with AROD playing SS or LF for that matter rather than Soriano. Certainly, Hendry did not know at the time that AROD would opt out of his prior contract, but nonetheless..the Soriano contract will continue to handcuff the organization for the next 6 years.
  16. edit - nevermind..thought B was serious...or was he?
  17. The SEC has 10 teams that are bowl eligible presently, and Mississippi State could become the 11th.
  18. ..wow, there were 34 combined points in the first quarter of Jaguar-Saints game, and Brees is throwing the ball well. I was unable to register at WCFB today, btw...keep receiving SQL error.
  19. Are you saying Ohio State would or could beat LSU on a neutral field? There is a significant difference in those two statements.
  20. Ohio State is a better team than I gave them credit for earlier this year, but I'm still fairly sure they'll get beat against Oregon or LSU.
  21. This isn't true. They have a top 5 payroll, no?
  22. well said, excellent post...
  23. I'm sure some people thought the thread was going to be about a Wagyu cattle trade b/w Japan and the US.
  24. How in the hell could the spot on that 3rd down play during LSU's last drive not get reviewed? He was clearly at least a half yard shy of the first down...jambalaya is served. It was an entertaining game, and I'm not upset by Auburn's play. I think they deservedly stay in the top 25 with their 3 losses.
