Funny, I dont remember that. (you're old) :P i don't remember them being bad either. JC shouldn't be considered old soley because he remembers watching the Braves when they were lousy. :P I'm 26 and I certainly remember them when they were the doormats of the NL East. The Braves had Glavine and Smoltz surface in the late '80s. Maddux joined their rotation a couple years after, and they've won the NL East every year since. -

Philly looks to be competing with us for the wildcard, so this is most likely not feasible. That said, I have to disagree with those that have stated that they'd only be interested in acquiring Lofton if we also were obtaining a power bat for LF. We'd be a better team right now if Lofton were playing center instead of Patterson...how can anyone argue otherwise? -
Cheers to not rushing him back...Hopefully, he'll be in the lineup (and 100% healthy) when you return to Mobile later this summer.

When Dusty was asked if he thought Nomar would return this year, I recollect reading something to the effect of "I had hoped for around the All-Star break." Noisesquared, you may be talking about a different article, but I don't think that the aforementioned statement necessarily reflects that Dusty believes Nomar will actually be with the Cubs around that time. I'm not a doctor either, but from what little I've read about his injury, I think even early August might still be optimistic.

Hi Everyone....I posted on the ESPN board on occasion and went by the moniker "GetBusyLivingorGetBusyDying". Yes, I'm a fan of The Shawshank Redemption. I haven't posted too much here because of time constraints, but I would like to thank Tim and others for putting together this site and making sure that most posts here are insightful and articulate. I'm a project manager for a software company currently, but I've done web design in the past and can appreciate the effort involved. Thanks again, and let's pick up a high profile free agent or two.
