  1. garrett wolfe is good. And he came to a party at my house once and paid for his cup with a 100 dollar bill.
  2. The players associated with the Major league organization go wherever that teams minor league affiliate is. So cubs minor leaguers at the AA level will play for the smokies.
  3. Jackson is already in Tennessee

  6. You need to get out more. Two blocks from the Biscuts park is a brew pub that has good, not great, micro-brews. It's the only place in the entire region where one can get draft beer. They have some stupid law out-lawing draft beer. I've never been quite sure of the logic surrounding the law. http://www.montgomerybrewpub.com/ The rest of downtown is pretty run down though. All the development is in the small towns outside of Montgomery, but the area is one of the fastest growing in the state. And from what I gather from the in-laws Montgomery loves the biscuts. They have marketed very from the inception of the franchize. All the way from team colors to the name of the team where picked by the fans. It also hasn't hurt that they've had a lot of talent pass through though. Gotta love the Biscuits mascot. http://www.sportslogos.net/images/Baseball/SL/MONT_5858.gif
  7. I think that QB rating is too complicated for any average fan to question.
  8. Hill's game score for today (92) ties for the 2006 NL high.
  9. Is Blanco at first really funny to anyone else?
  10. Don't you mean Mobile? Birmingham has been with the White Sox for quite a while. Um, yep I do. At least I got the right state. :D Actually I think you mean Montgomery. Mobile is with San Diego.
  11. And this may be a bit biased, but I think Veal will be better then Hughes and perhaps even Bailey (let's face it, do we trust a pitching prospect in the Reds system?). Why do you think this? Anything besides the bias and the reds poor system of late?
  12. the bulls better not suck this year  At least the packers are real bad and not a 7-9 type of team. Nothing pisses me off more than mediocrity. Packers number one draft pick in 07/ Cubs number one draft pick in 07! yesss!
  13. good call! I have some guacamole chillin in the fridge along with some miller lites and a bag of hint of lime tostitos at the ready. Here's hoping that the packers at least make it a good game.
  14. And I don't understand the RumDum thing. Can anyone enlighten me?
  15. He is not "strapped" with a bum manager. He hired Baker and has the power to fire Baker. Not only that, but his philosophies are apparantly in line with Baker's. Hendry is no doubt part of the problem.
  16. Call me crazy but I want position players, and when I say that I mean best available, not a stretch like Colvin. Wieters please :)
  17. I love Dempster too. He seems like a hoot and I would probably enjoy hanging out with him. However, I did not like the contract he recieved and I do not want him on this team in a prominant role.
  18. speaking of Carlos Silva, how does a team in a playoff race allow a pitcher to pitch so many bad innings?
  19. I wonder why they cut Najeh? I haven't paid much attention lately, but I kinda figured he was the most talented back we had at this point.
  20. Are you serious!? I love Cub/Packer fans!!
  21. Not bad?!?!
  22. He won't have nearly enough plate appearances this season to be as much of a negative to a team as he has been in the past.
