  1. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=87113776 he is my myspace friend!
  2. sweet! It's a shame I already bought mine :(
  3. Ew. I definitely do not like seeing Jacque hitting second.
  4. shoot, after step two who even cares?
  5. Same for me - and I'm under 25. ditto
  6. Kip Wells looked fairly decent tonight. He has a wicked sort of fastball that starts in on lefties and scoots down and away to drop in for a strike. He had a good couple of years in the past and could be another guy who gets his career back on track in st. louis. Braden Looper will probably be brutal though.
  7. Who the heck is even pitching for the Nationals? John Patterson is the only person that I know is in their rotation. Shawn Hill. He was a decent prospect a few years ago, then ran into a wall of injuries and hasn't pitched much over the last few years. Did well in a limited number of starts last year in the majors, and with their extremely weak staff, won a spot in the rotation. Big time groundball guy with decent control. Imo he could put up decent numbers this year in RFK. Or he could suck. I should also add that he does not strike people out. Which doesn't bode well for his future. 5.57 k/9 in the minors means he better throw a ton of ground balls and have immaculate control.

  9. Carlos showed very little control but, to be fair, the ump had a very small zone.
  10. I love the away gray jerseys. I hate hate hate the blue alts.
  11. If this post isn't trolling I don't know what is.
  12. This is the best news I have heard all day.
  13. No, no, no...He is right. Carpenter is definitely going to suck this bad for the rest of the season. He just didn't look right. ESPN's gun had him at Prior/Miller velocity for the portions of the game I could stomach. I didn't pay that close attention but I could have sworn I saw 92/93.
  14. No, no, no...He is right. Carpenter is definitely going to suck this bad for the rest of the season. If you say so....
  15. Carlos had a 9.64 era after opening day last year.
  16. I saw Wayne at O'hare once.
  17. Per AZ Phil Doesn't sound like a huge deal, but still scary nonetheless.
  18. Cincy always had the first game until they said the other day the Cubs vs Mets in Japan (I didn't think that was the first time it didn't happen, but maybe it was). Since then, they've decided to put this Sunday night game in, and just leave Cincy's game as the traditional day game rather than move it up to be the first game as usual. I don't understand. What does it mean? I heard on TV the other day that the first year that the Cincy game was not the first game of the year was the year that the Cubs played the Mets in Japan. I didn't think that was true, but apparently it was. Sorry for the confusing line there-hope that cleared it up. Yeah thanks. I still don't understand, the cubs vs. the mets in Japan!? Wow how long ago was that? :) It was in 2000-that was just 7 years ago now :D I remember getting up at 4 AM to watch that before school started. me too!
  19. Ummm....shall I introduce you to--->http://mlb.mlb.com/images/2007/03/02/rvQCV6b5.jpg my vote: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/images/2007/03/02/9SnDZQMY.jpg
  20. I would but I have a mid-term, can't afford a 0 on that. You have a horrible heartless teacher.
  21. To all you guys missing the game for class: Isn't it a rule that you have to skip class on opening day? I know that's the rule I always follow.
  22. Brett Anderson! There is a good chance he won't reach the midwest league this year, but from what I can tell, if any high school pitcher with no pro experience could start off in low A it would be him.
