    You should not get so super defensive anytime someone says something the least bit negative about sean. It's not personal, it's just someones opinion. In this case it's hardly even negative.

    I'll believe that when he gets to the mound at Wrigley. You speak as if there's a ton of time before opening day to sort things out with Prior. There isn't. He who has his stuff together now is likely the guy who will have his stuff together 3 weeks from now. There's time to work out some issues, that's what spring training is for, but rebuild a pitcher from scratch? Nay. I think this is definitely the case. Prior has been out for so long for so many injuries, and he's having to basically relearn how to pitch. The talent is still there, but the practice and polish isn't. Unless he makes spectacular improvements over the next 3 weeks, he needs to start the season in AAA. Can they put him in AAA? It seems like a guy with his past major league success and service time can't just get stuck in the minors unless he approves it. Would he do that? I am not sure, but if I was a Cy Young candidate at one point and I was still young I would probably not.

    Yeah, like night and day differences. Just look at the Felix Pie thing. In a short time, they spotted something with his swing and adjusted it. We'll see how it works. This crew seems much more technically sound. And the coaches here work extremely hard. I am loving the new staff so far.

    Love the lineup today. Hopefully Theriot shows he can play short well enough to start their on a regular basis.

    Stealing bases seemed like one of his weaker area's over the past few years so this is excellent to hear.

    To answer some really old questions about the formulas behind Vorp: BP's statistics are proprietary so they do not divulge the workings behind their stuff so people cannot rip them off.

    Wasn't it something insane like 3/34? 3/34.5 I think. That is absolutely horrible. It's in-line with what's been going on in MLB. Teams are paying for IP more than anything else. Vasquez is probably good for about 200 average innings a year. I think he compares favorably to some guys who got more than him. Definitely about right, given the market this offseason, but that doesn't mean that it isn't ridiculous.

    Who's due up for the Cubs? I think it's Coats, Hoffpauir and EPatt. EPatt-Bomb? Hope so for his sake. Maybe it will make Lou forget about the misplay. Never gets the chance. we'll just assume that he would have hit a dinger.
