  1. Figuring it out is never going to happen, from a monetary standpoint Fields has done quite well. Accomplishments as a player? Not so much. Nevertheless, I wish him well.
  2. I'd add a kicker with a big leg to the off season wish list.
  3. He doesn't have to be Richard Dent, just someone the opponents will devote resources to block thereby, making a healthy Sweat much more effective. Who, knows, maybe, a trade for Hendrickson is still in the works. And holding out for the possibility of Young or Davenport on the "cheap".
  4. I'm certain they'll draft an OL as well. They've signed Dalman, line is looking solid, if Jeanty' gone at 10 and they don't want to reach for, say, Hampton, that doesn't preclude from taking, if available, Campbell, Banks Jr. or Membou.
  5. The Falcons had several months to get that done. Now, all of sudden, an hour or so before FA is set to begin they're attempting to lock him up? Right.
  6. I very much like that draft for the Bears, that's almost as good as it can get for them. Question for all - say they sign Dalman and Jeanty' gone before 10, does anyone think a reach for Omarion Hampton (by the way, great first name) is possible? I know the draft is deep at RB, I really like, Quinshon Judkins or Kaleb Johnson on days 2 or 3. But, Hampton has a great RAS, of which, I've read, Ben Johnson is big proponent -
  7. Wolf and Goldin are great but, on the whole, U of M’s back court is for horsefeathers.
  8. MSU looking good early vs U of M, I’d like to see what a healthy Illini team could do to MSU. Maybe, we’ll get a chance in the BTT, The Illini win vs Purdue, one of the handful of times Underwood out-coached an opposing coach, kept doubling of Kaufman-Renn in his pocket until the end. Then sprang on Purdue and threw them off enough to make a difference.
  9. Where do the Bears sign?
  10. I hope not, he's cooked, don't have the slightest hope there's anything left in the tank. I guess it couldn't hurt to a flyer on him still, money could be better spent.
  11. Illini finally put a pin in Purdue' series winning streak, didn't hurt they got a make up phantom foul on White's 3-pt play. Of course, earlier in the game, Jakucionis was called for a phantom foul on Smith' (maybe it was Loyer') 3 attempt. Johnson possibly being back would be huge for them, think he would have made a big difference tonight.
  12. I believe these are the updated picks for the Bears:
  13. Sign me up, getting back a first, most especially in this draft, where the difference in the player available at #10 and that at #17 is pretty small.
  14. Believe their pick at #10 depends on what happens with Dalman. If they sign Dalman, I'm thinking they go Jeanty at #10. If not, then DL might be in order at #10.
  15. Nope, maybe two years ago, there's a strong possibility he's cooked.
  16. I believe Bosa and Mack are cooked and therefore not worth consideration by the Bears. I'm in the Young and Davenport camp and maybe, kick the tires on a trade for Hendrickson.
  17. He's probably an improvement over Lewis as well, heck, he's 11 years younger.
  18. He's probably not much worse than Everett, in fact, I think there's a real good chance he's an improvement. Everett was terrible even for a second TE.
  19. I thought it bad idea to spend a load on Smith, I'd rather they do what they're currently doing. Center is next, it has to addressed, if not Dalman, then the next best FA center.
  20. I have the same thoughts, immediately went to what's wrong with him? Is just age? He's, 32, will be 33 in November, does he have another year in him? On the other hand, I do not believe the Bears are done with the OL, they're going to sign someone in FA along with a draft pick or two.
  21. If they can sign Dalman then, I believe Jeanty, if available at 10, is a real possibility. Maybe, go Jeanty, DL, OL, WR/TE with the 4 picks inside the top 100.
  22. Some chatter about the Bears signing Mack, unless he's cheap, don't believe any cap space should be wasted on him. I'd rather they sign Chase Young and Marcus Davenport, believe both can be had on cheap one year prove-it deals. There's also been some thought they are looking to follow Dennis Allen to the Bears.
  23. Saw Kansas lose last night, they're 19-11 overall, have not been following, is their situation similar to the Illini? Illness and injuries really taking a toll on their season?
  24. I'm guessing far more of the first option than second, Duke game is probably still fresh in most minds. That's okay, no expectations, no pressure, ultimately, all depends on the match-ups, with favorable match-ups we may see them make a run.
  25. Helps they've another long break between games, don't play again until Friday. Underwood mentioned they've been able to have full practices again, I have to think we'll see better basketball from a very capable team.
