  1. My understanding is Suzuki is day-to-day, nothing super serious, more irritating discomfort. Pressley sounds a little more serious, his, I believe, right knee.
  2. From what Poles has said I do not believe trading up is on the table. If Jeanty' gone before #10, I think they'll go OL or trade down into the first round and go Hampton then OL with the next pick.
  3. Forgot about Hope? He's supposed to be the greatest thing on two feet.
  4. This didn't age well, thank horsefeathers goodness. It's so beyond awesome the Cubs took the combined season series against the top three teams in the NL West!!! 11-9 baby!!! 20 of the first 26 games against three of the best teams in the NL and the Cubs did not get buried, in fact, they thrived!!! Now on to the NFL draft finally!!!!
  5. Off day tomorrow, give Suzuki some rest, hopefully good to go for the Phillies series. Cubs always seem to lose these type of games anyway, favorable pitching match ups both for and against just never seem to fall their way. Even though it's annoying as all hell I'd rather be cautious now to pay off later.
  6. Do not believe trading up is realistic. I do believe if one of Jeanty, Warren, Membou or Campbell is there the Bears will make a pick at 10 otherwise, trade down.
  7. Ahem. Today is the FINAL time the Cubs have to play the Dodgers in the regular season. AND if they win, they win the season series 4-3. - Wait a minute, you mean to say there's other teams the Cubs are allowed to play? The hell you say, I was all set for another series against the Padres!
  8. Simple but, true, just, for horsefeathers's sake, throw strikes.
  9. Until Shaw returns Berti might be the best option, believe the Cubs can be reasonably confident he'll make all the plays he should. Which is all the Cubs need at the moment.
  10. Watched the condensed game, Workman' been brutal with the glove. First whiff I can give him a pass on, second whiff is absolutely a play that should have been made. Nevertheless, Tucker is the least talked about best player in the MLB and PCA? He's morphing into a star before our eyes. Locking up Tucker and PCA could go a long ways towards the Cubs ruling the Central for a while - that means more money Tom! A hot Happ plus Tucker and Seiya followed by an improving Busch that's a pretty decent first four on par with most any lineup in baseball. The Dodgers are just not other worldly, maybe, they've yet to hit their stride and will prove to be. Continually playing the Padres, Diamondbacks and Dodgers has afforded us a good look at these teams. The Padres are certainly better than the Dodgers arguments could made the Diamondbacks are the better of the Dodgers as well. In any case it's awesome to see the Cubs taking it to the Dodgers, Ohtani with a hat trick of K's is the cherry on top.
  11. Every horsefeathers time, as I said I don't recall a recent Pirates series where they haven't drawn Skenes.
  12. Agreed, regarding the Pirates, since he's come up when haven't the Cubs drawn Skenes?
  13. I'll be glad when the Cubs are done with the Dodgers in the regular season this week. I'm so horsefeathers sick of the Dodgers, Padres and Diamondbacks, they can all go bye-bye.
  14. Will Turner at 3B be in the lineup today? He has good career numbers vs. Kelly, might be worth trying to get some offense from 3B. Maybe give him a couple of AB's?
  15. Really enjoyed watching the Dodgers "infallible" bullpen cough one up last night. Raise you hand if you love seeing bad things happen to the Dodgers.
  16. Gotten to Gallen twice this season, about time they get to Kelly.
  17. That statistic they showed about the Diamondbacks scoring 27 runs in the 8th inning is so skewed. 18 of those 27 runs have been scored against the Cubs. Given they're done with the Cubs in the regular season after Sunday, I wouldn't put much stock in them being 8th inning comeback wiz-kids.
  18. Re-watched the top of the eight, besides the GS an awful lot of luck went the Diamondbacks way. If Hodge doesn't deflect Perdomo' GB Hoerner has it for the third out. Then, of course, there's Grichuk' "double" which really was an error although, since Workman never got a glove on it, I doubt it'll scored as an error. But, in all practicality it was an error. The GS should have been it and the Cubs would have won 7-5. Dipshit AZ announcers cackling, "...some years just have that special vibe and so far, 2025 is one of them...", , yeah, for the Cubs!!!!
  19. To my credit I did turn off the game thinking they gotten to Jarvis before, maybe they'll make it close. That's a a ball busting way to lose a game for those jagoff Diamondbacks - good. About time those MF'ers got a taste of their own medicine.
  20. Hell yeah!!!!! I honestly turned the TV off and stuffed my face with Chinese food, would have loved to hear those dipshit Arizona announcers call of that, they we're putting that one up in the W column. Creaming in their collective pants about the Diamondbacks supposed 8th inning magic when, really it's facing the joke known as the Cubs bullpen.
  21. It's even worse with the national broadcast being these dipshit Arizona announcers.
  22. I looked up his statistics, larger samples suggests he's closer to a replacement level player than an above replacement player.
