  1. I agree, it also a fact Mitch and Justin are both fatally flawed and no amount of offensive infrastructure or coaching is going to change that fact. The Bears didn't ruin them, didn't help them but, they didn't ruin them.
  2. Really? 2023 - #30, 37 and 39 Baseball America, MLB and Baseball Prospectus is it that much of a reach?
  3. As much as I loathe the White Sox. I also like some of the White Sox' young talent, think they did well in Crochet and Freede deals - Meidroth, Braden Montgomery, I'd trade Shaw for Vargas right now. Like all three of their starting pitchers over the weekend, the catcher, Quero, looks like a keeper as well, add Elko, they've got a base that could be good.
  4. Don't know what's more impressive the sweep or winning on Sunday. It's like the Cubs were baseball' version of the Bears. Although the Bears are 1-0 on Sunday in 2025.
  5. Guessing the Royals brought it home? If so, finally, nice those pissant Redbirds lost.
  6. Had the infield not been in that may have been a hit.
  7. The myth of Chicago is where QB's go to die is, just that, a myth. With Mitch and Justin the only things the Bears were guilty of is drafting QB's who don't have what it takes to consistently succeed in the NFL. The Bears didn't coach their flaws into them and they sure as horsefeathers couldn't coach them out. Just ask Steelers, with a proven coaching staff, why is Justin no longer their QB? Media keeps perpetuating this nonsense.
  8. I honestly would have let Ballesteros face the lefty, for the most part, there's no utility in giving that at-bat to Turner.
  9. Even with this clown of an umpire the Cubs drew 11 BB's not too bad.
  10. Automatic calls of balls and strikes can't get here fast enough.
  11. Swung at ball 4 - I think - guess I can't blame him with this umpire.
  12. Wow, not even close, guess that makes up for an miss on strike three earlier.
  13. Thought the Celtics had their circle the wagons game in Boston and were going to drop the series last night. By 38 points? Didn't see that coming. Pacers/Knicks should be fun.
  14. There's a better than average chance the Cardinals are going down to the Royals (Ragans) tonight. Sucks Lugo won't be going tomorrow. Guess it'll be Noah Cameron for the Royals tomorrow think he's got a chance to be effective.
  15. That may have happened had not the 3B been up, let's give Lopez credit he put the in play, first time today from 3B.
  16. Actually a pretty good breaking ball from Pressly there although, I don't blame Palacios for looking shocked he somehow struck out.
  17. PCA picked Lopez up nevertheless, had any of the 3B been able to put the ball in play they may have 12+ runs up on the board.
  18. At least he's not kicking the ball all over the place right now, compared to what they've had at 3B, that's enough.
  19. Think he's gotten only one K on a breaking ball, others have not even thought about swinging, wonder if he's tipping his pitches?
  20. Honestly don't think that's happen since Contreras in 2016.
