  1. Will the moves be as simple as sign Tucker and trade Cassie+other prospect for a TOR SP type - Alcantara, Cabera, Ryan or keep Cassie and sign a TOR SP type?
  2. Yep, Campbell, Banks and Membou were gone by the time the Bears picked. The whole draft went that way for the Bears, potential targets were picked shortly before they picked.
  3. I didn't understand that, you've just won a playoff series. Regardless or whether you're trolling the Cubs or not why would you want to take a picture with flag containing a big L?
  4. I agree, don't understand the logic of some saying sign this or that player until Cassie is ready. He's ready, there's nothing left to prove in Iowa, it's go time, either with the Cubs or some other team.
  5. I'd like to see Loveland targeted utilized more, I think it'll slowly come, while Warren has gotten off to great start. I think it's worth noting he's gotten the most targets and the Bears WR room is better than that of the Colts.
  6. They didn't face Snell, they got Yamamoto once, Sheehan (1) and Glasnow (2) are in the Dodgers bullpen. Other two starts went to Kershaw, who, they may not see this series. Save for Kershaw the remainder of Dodgers' staff features velocity and Brewers struggle with velocity. Look at the Brewers - Peralta and ? - their pitching situation isn't all that better than the Cubs. Haven't looked but, with off days, you get Peralta two starts? What about potentially five other games? Also, I believe someone mentioned FanGraphs gave both the Cubs and Brewers a 30% chance vs. Dodgers, appears others who know a lot more about baseball than me don't give them much of a chance either. Moreover, when the Brewers weren't facing Boyd on short rest or struggling/gassed Shota they scored 6 runs. Think that's going to improve against the step up in pitching that the Dodgers represent?
  7. Since ESPN hasn't released or made the formula for QBR public. I don't how you can trust it, any statistician will tell you, given the data. If one cannot replicate the statistic it shouldn't be taken seriously. Caleb' numbers >>>>> Gabriel' numbers yet, he has a QBR of 57.5 compared to 100? Leads me to the conclusion that QBR has a subjective component which means it's a worthless POS as a statistic. Makes sense, no matter what Caleb does, ESPN doesn't "like" him and never will and, at the end of the day, who gives a horsefeathers if ESPN "likes" you?
  8. Just out of curiosity I wonder who starts tonight for the Brewers? Their starting pitcher situation is only slightly better than the Cubs in that have one, reliable TOR starter compared to none. Dodgers have Snell today, honestly all Brewers hate aside, from just a baseball stand point, I can't even squint and see how the Brewers have a chance.
  9. Ahh, let them have their fun/whatever, in about a week they'll be home like almost everyone else watching the WS.
  10. I would most definitely plan on Steele not being part of the equation almost to the point of acting as if he's not on the roster. Coming off surgery you have to think and operate in such a manner.
  11. I feel bad for him as well, by all accounts a great guy who works his ass off, most definitely deserves better. However, the cold hard fact is he's unable to function as an effective QB in the NFL, he'll never be able to and it sucks.
  12. Bullpen was thinking about, from the right side, Palencia, Keller, Hodge and Brown. From the left side I do not believe Thielbar or Pomeranz will come any where near what they did this season. I'd most definitely move on from Thielbar, might consider a one year offer to Pomeranz, that still leaves the need for two more LHP's? I'd like to see Hoyer find some LHP's with plus stuff, other teams manage to do so, why can't Jed?
  13. Think many of us would like to see the Cubs sign King or Cease can either of these guys be a reasonable expectation with this FO? Or, are we looking at Hoyer trying to find another Matthew Boyd on, in baseball terms, the cheap?
  14. Don't think Soroka will have many, if any, multi-year offers, think he's bound to a one year prove it deal some where. I'd like to be the Cubs, believe his metrics suggest a reasonable expectation of him being decent.
  15. Brewers are immune to regression? An awful lot of things went well for them. Let’s just assume they’ll all go well again while everything will regress for the Cubs.
  16. Full of hot takes, I don't like the idea of giving up on Shaw. He's hit and hit well at every level of baseball, no reason to assume he won't improve.
  17. Will they be able to hang with or beat OSU in the Big Ten Championship game? Thought PSU could be a potential loss, not looking like they'll be a big threat now.
  18. Have to give the Hoosiers credit, thought they'd be blown out, turns out they may win. Good job.
  19. Me to, thought he had one earlier unfortunately, was to biggest part of the ball park.
  20. We've not seen PCA' best this post season, I believe we'll see something great from PCA tonight.
  21. Wright, graded as the 2nd best runner blocker in the NFL + only given up 1 QB pressure all season, will be back on Monday night. A great thing for the Bears, think we'll see very improved play from the OL.
  22. Most definitely, I was encouraged, they weren't overwhelmed and looked good vs. ,basically, an NFL team. There isn't a team on the remaining schedule that's even in the same universe as OSU, Illini should have a chance to win all of them.
  23. Megill is that Murphy's best choice? Or, is the idea Misiorowski will be way too pumped and more wild than usual. So, ease him into the game. Jason appeared to me that Megill' breaking stiff hasn't been very sharp, hanging/rolling his sliders, does this look correct?
