    It sure would be great if Soriano breaks out of his most recent slump de jour tonight. What'd think Fonzie? Sound like a good idea? This team is far too good to keep this up, at some point, this crappy play is going to stop. Who knows, tonight we may witness a true miracle - Fonzie breaking out and the miraculous part would be Kosuke getting a hit (Len and Bob mentioned he'll likely get a start last night) .

    I don't believe its going to matter, Cubs will win, but, it would sure be great if Loshe remembers he sucks tonight.

    The reason they had to be looking for a double play is because Kerry couldn't find the plate. He put them in that position when all he had to do was throw strikes to bad hitters and force them to put it in play to win the game. He did throw a few strikes that the a-hole umpire refused to call, there was one that split the plate belt high, not to mention several on the corner that were strikes all day for Harang. Don't know why I'm so POed I expected Wood to blow it.

    Finally!!! Too bad the Cubs didn't lay a 20 spot on those asses.

    Hoffpauir isn't that good either. Granted he isn't but, he's been red hot this year both with the Cubs and at Iowa, ride the hot the bat.

    Another K for K, I really want to see Hoff in RF for the next week or so, let K grab some big time bench.

    I think Aram not having hit the ball since his GS against the Phillies has played a large part in this scoreless streak.

    Anyone else grown tried of watching Kosuke make soft out after soft out? Let's bench him for the next week or so and go with Hoff in RF.

    Well, Suppan is bad enough to make a terrible Padres lineup look good.

    I'd like to see Hoffpauir get a start in RF or 1B tomorrow, I know he's not a long term prospect but, all he's done is rake. Whereas, Kosuke hasn't hit since June in fact, if Lou' going utilize hot bats, he'd give Fontenot a few more starts as well.

    Has Lou tried a hit and run with Lee yet? Or is he waiting until Lee sets the GIDP record to do so? With Soriano and Theriot on a hit and run is so far fetched.

    At times Arroyo can be effective last night happened to be one of those times Fogg, on the other hand, should have no chance. If the Cubs don't get to him, I'd say they're slumping rather than it being a case of bad pitcher having a good start.

    Wandy against the Brewers in Milwaukee? I don't think its going to be very pretty, I'll be amazed if he makes through the Brewer lineup once.

    You think they are going to play at least 5.5-7.5 games worse than the Brewers over the next 38 games? With that bullpen and no Carpenter? Yes.

    That red dot in the Cubs rear mirror that was the Cards is starting to fade, I still believe, when all is said and done, they won't come within 8-10 games of a playoff spot.
