  1. Absolultely loved the play where Tisdale brings the ball down and get stripped by a 6+ plus guard and then commits a foul. To be fair though he was hacked on that strip but, still, idoit, your a seven footer don't bring the ball down until the traffic clears!!!!
  2. The Illini tried real hard to blow it fortunately for them and us Illini fans, the clock ran out. Also, Bill Cole is a turn over machine idoit of a basketball player.
  3. You're probably correct, it's more my frustration with the under performing Illini, e.g., Davis with his laid back 15-17 footers makes it easy on the opponent. If he ever got the mind to take it to the hoop and play with some fire he could make it very tough on opponents.
  4. Here we are again, the Illini vs. the Badgers, I really believe with a balls to walls effort the Illini can kick the [expletive] out the Badgers. Probably won't get that kind of a game from the Illini, we'll get the usual come out with little to no effort, get down big then, decide to play, etc.
  5. Sharpie!!! Made a smooth move, Quick didn't have a chance!!!!
  6. Why the hell can't we get this clown out? Spring training, regular season, doesn't matter, the guy' crap on stick.
  7. that sounds about right except mccamey IS a good basketball player. when he wants to be He did average 15 and 7. Not too many Illini point guards put up numbers better than that. Plus he did it while having to have a ton of pressure on him. I.E. when he plays great we are pretty good, when he plays average we suck. I thought he had a hell of a year. I think B&B we looking from the perspective of consistency, they've both shown flashes here and there and have the ability to be good players. But, for whatever reasons, one of them being something missing between the ears, haven't put it all together.
  8. I think B&B called it correctly last yesterday - Weber is a good coach, McCamey and Davis are a couple of knuckle heads who aren't good basketball players.
  9. My biggest fear is the Bulls are going to end up with Carlos Boozer or someone else of that ilk, no Wade, Bosh, etc.
  10. I gotta think Jereme' starting, I don't believe Weber is the Dusty Baker of college basketball. I do believe he values hustle and defense, these are the primary reasons we see too much of Cole and Jordan.
  11. I believe the Illini can beat Wisconsin on a nuetral court, it's up to them, if they come to play, I don't think the Badgers can stay with them. It's not Weber' fault Mike Davis has been the invisible all season, ultimately, it's up to player, same goes for the rest of team. That being said, I don't think they'll beat Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament, they haven't played with a sense of urgency all season why start now? Despite whatever went on with McCamey today, I believe it would be a foolish move for him to declare early. He won't be a high enough pick to justify the move, he'll be better served playing his senior year.
  12. I think that outome of today' Illinois-Wisconsin game is largely, if not entirely dependent on how or which Illini play or show up. If the agressive, max effort Illini show up they'll win perhaps, easily so.
  13. I have complete faith Silva will continue suck, as for Cub management recognizing how badly he sucks not so sure.
  14. Versteeg got it back but, it's got to be demoralizing to know your goalie is very likely to give up the soft goal.
  15. From my prospective this is the least excited I've been for a new season in a long time. I'm thinking playoff hockey in April rather than the start of the Cub' season.
  16. Lunardi still has us in??? I think we're in provided we beat Wisconsin on Sunday, too many quality wins not to get in plus, if past precedent means anything, I can recall an 18-13 or so, Arizona getting in last year.
  17. Pray McCamey comes back, otherwise we are going to see WAY too much JJ. I believe he'll come back it'll only improve his draft position. If he doesn't, I don't know if we'll necessarily see way too much of JJ. Weber values defense, if Paul improves or say, Richmond or Head play good D they'll get the minutes over JJ.
  18. wait, 2 years ago you were saying that these WOULD be the good players no, i said that we'd have them eventually. i wasn't planning on a tourney bid this year. they're not good enough to win this young. the groundwork has been laid, though. We should have never been in this position to begin with, and that is the thing that pisses me off the most about Mid Major Bruce. You can't miss on 3 of 4 recruiting classes. This goes beyond Eric Gordon, it goes to a total lack of talent and depth. I do think we will be much improved next year, and now that McCamey has come back to earth, I think he will come back. I believe quite the opposite, the playing time DJ, Paul and to a lesser extent Griffey are getting coupled with the return of Davis, Tisdale and McCamey alone is a formula for success. Add to it big time talent such as Richmond (5*, Burger Boy), Head and Leonard (4*) and next season' Illini are going to be loaded, I say beat 'em now while can. They won't get swept by Purdue, OSU and beat by the likes of Missouri, Bradley, etc. in 2011.
  19. canada is weird. they looked ridiculously good against russia, but tonight they look kind of "meh" (at least compared to how they've looked in other games in the tournament). i don't really know what to make of them. i mean obviously they're awesome, but how awesome? if they play like they have tonight, USA can definitely beat them again. i thought they'd be running circles around slovakia. i'm really interested in how they come out on sunday. they're going to have a ridiculous amount of pressure on them. not only is there the pressure of winning the gold, but there is going to be extra pressure on them to not lose to the US for the second time in the tournament. can you imagine the heat they'd take if they lost to us TWICE? it would be brutal (and amazing) It would be incredible if we managed to beat Canada twice on their turf. I have no doubt they're going to come out flying Sunday trying to put us away early.
  20. Canada scores on the PP, 3-0 after 2, was really hoping Slovkia could pull off an upset, just don't see us beating them again.
  21. Toews and Nash have probably been the Canadians 2 best forwards so far. Since Toews is not named Crosby and hasnt scored any goals, he is kind of going under the radar. He has played great though. I believe so as well, Toews' line has been on of Canada' best, seems like every time they're on the ice they generate a scoring chance. And it's, quite often, Toews setting the table.
  22. Listening to the Score this morning, there was a sequence in which callers, if given the chance to ask Tiger one question, what would it be? Heard one fellow ask why 32 mistresses Tiger? Given you're sex addict and your resources don't you believe having only 32 mistresses is slacking?
  23. Given how much Shuster is screwing up, does it matter?
  24. I think so as well but, could that be another max FA? Wade and Bosh for example?
  25. Isn't that more like NBA purgatory rather than hell? NBA hell should be what the Bulls and Knicks have been for the past decade. Purgatory is a more appropriate term.
