Chicago hats should come in especially large sizes. Having a giant head is a Chicago thing. I'm not sure what my hat size is but those adjustable in the back ones never fit unless I get a crew cut. Best hat I have is a Blackhawks with elastic. Problem is stupid people think it means I'm in a gang because, you know, there are lots of middle aged white guys in gangs.
There's been a lot written and said about the bad ice for game 3. It will be interesting to see how better ice affects game 4. I still think the Wild will try to push the pace as much as they can and better ice will help them. Hawks missed their first chance to close out the Preds. Will that give them extra motivation to close out the Wild? Will Biittner77 be able to stay awake past the first period of this 9:30 (which then becomes 9:50) start time?
Ryan Theriot, Neifi Perez, Jerry Morales and Donnie Young because this whole idea is kind of dumb. If I'm doing it for real, Banks, Santo, Caveretta and 3 finger Brown
I watch vastly more Blackhawks games than other NHL games....do other goalies hear the taunt as much as Crow? The other chant that bothered me was "Lets go Wi-ld"...it's a one syllable word you morons. Do the right chant..."Lets go Wild! Lets go Wild!" The Sha arks fans do the same thing. Isles fans were taunting Holtby this year when they play the caps. Winnipeg fans do the chant, though they didn't get much of chance to do it in the playoffs against the Ducks.
Yeah that is nice! As for game 3's on the road, Hawks are 1-9 under Q. A couple things to take away there. The first couple games are a feeling out process. Q wants to see how the other team adjusts then adjusts to what they're trying to do. Game 3 on the road shows the match ups that the other team wants to dictate with last change. The other team is more desperate since they are typically down 0-2 at that point. Q may not be the best in game strategist but he puts together a pretty good game plan once he knows what to expect from the other coach. As for this game, scoring first will be really important, especially for the Wild. Their style flourishes when playing with the lead. The Hawks don't mind playing from behind but if they can score first it will force the Wild to start taking chances earlier than they ordinarily like to. I look for the Wild to try to turn this into a track meet. Waiting for the Hawks to make mistakes hasn't worked so far (or at least didn't last night). The key to beating the Hawks this year is a relentless forecheck. The Wild have the players to do that. The question then becomes who's defense cracks first.
Yeah he needs to go to the press box. I would rather have Cominsky, at least he has speed and sucks, 44 sucks and has no speed. I don't agree that 44 sucks. Q always goes to a 5 man D rotation in the playoffs. There's nothing wrong with 44 being that 6th guy that spots in for like 10 minutes. Cumiskey is a 28 year old rookie. 44's lack of speed is only a problem if he strays out of position. He has enough experience to avoid that. I have no problem with how he's being used. Keep in mind that 44 is playing November hockey compared to everyone else.
Q isn't getting fired for not playing Vermette. That's just silly. Anyone saying that Q will get fired if they lose to the Wild is an idiot. Q is not going to retire until he passes Al Arbor for 2nd all time wins. He needs probably one more season to do that.
This guy named GTZasker or something like that was a semi regular poster at Cubs.com for a couple months. Then one day there's a post by someone claiming to be his brother who posted to tell everyone that the real guy had died in a boating accident over the weekend. There actually had been a boating accident resulting in a fatality the previous weekend. A bunch of people cried bs and started poking holes in the "brother's" story. I have to admit, I told people to shut up because why would anyone fake their own death on a message board? About 3 weeks later, the guy returns from the dead saying he did the whole thing as a psych experiment for a class he was taking at ... maybe Northwestern or DePaul. This resulted in a long debate over whether that was the real reason he did it. A lot of people were genuinely upset over all of this. It all seems really silly now.
That's true. But the Blues had the element of distracting the Hawks by gooning it up. The Wild have fewer guys there primarly for HITS. This series is the WCF. The Ducks are a mirage and The Flames are too young. Neither have what it takes to beat the Wild let alone the Hawks. The only question is health coming out of what ought to be a 6 or 7 game series.
Marginalize it all you want, there is more strategy in the NL game because of how it affects pitching match ups and how long to leave the starting pitcher in the game. That's always been the argument in favor of not having the DH and I used to agree. The DH changes the overall strategy it doesn't eliminate it. Don't AL teams pinch hit for their worst hitter in key spots? Isn't there still the argument between full time DH vs. using it as half day off for position players? The DH adds offense. Most fans want more offense. The League certainly wants more offense. There had to be a time when AL fans were against the DH. I don't hear any of them complaining now. This will happen pretty soon.
They should handle it the same way the Hawks do shoot the puck, "randomly" select a kid, a fat guy and a "hot" woman and have them sing. As a Homage to Harry, the fat guy could spit Budweiser on everybody.
Teencubfan. There was also Jamespear or something like that. Unless you mean Cansecofan who was actually claimed to be friends with the Canseco brothers.
I got invited to join on day 2. SUCK IT, NEWBIES! Cubs.com in the days when Borgie was the guy that knew stuff and sounded smart. I was also there when that guy faked his death. People were kind of pissed.
Please stop. It's great that he's playing well and the Hawks are winning but he's a 26 year old rookie that has played in every hockey league in North America. He's closer to the hockey version of Bryan Lahair than he is the new Domink Hasek. Enjoy the ride while it lasts.
