  1. That could be part of it. Crow is much better than Raanta, who gives up his crease way way too much. Darling we really havent seen enough of him yet to say if he is the real deal. Maybe not threatened so much as feeling guilty/embarrassed by the cause of his injury.
  2. That would mean they think Russell will be ready sooner rather than later, wouldn't it?
  3. I wonder if they'll ever change the rules to prevent the goalie from covering the puck that far from his crease. I'm not sure what the current rule is but he's not super close to the blue paint.
  4. definitely...and Nashville only got 1 point tonight so we pull back into a tie for 1st with them (Nash has 1 game in hand) I know, I know its dumb to care about the standings in January, or like ever if you're a Hawks fan, but it helps me get through the dog days of the season before the playoffs. It's not dumb at all since this is the part of the season where the Hawks start their lull. That cushion that they have over River Scum and the Jets will come in handy.
  5. It's disturbing when you see how well Darling and Raanta played when he was out. Crawfords contract might cost us Sharp or Seabrook after the year. That said Crawford wasn't that bad most of the game and hasn't been particularly bad this year. Raanta played like a wall, I want him starting and go get a third Cup if we have to lose Sharp You are being ironic, right? It's hard for me to tell. Raanta is a capable back up. Darling could also serve in that capacity. As for Sharp, that has a lot more to do with raises to other players than it does Crawford. If they can find a taker for Bickell after a good playoff performance, they can keep Sharp and Seabrook at least next year.
  6. According to this, the correct pronunciation is Khrushchev or Johnson.
  7. Interesting, I thought given the stretch of starts he got, they favored him over Raanta. Does Raanta have a 2 way contract? I know he was sent down briefly, but that was to get him playing time, likely something he agreed to. I don't believe he has a two way contract. Probably why he stays. But all 3 goalies have for the most part been fantastic this year His one way contract means he gets paid the same at Rock Vegas as he does with the Hawks. It doesn't mean he can't be sent down. Entirely possible that Raanta does get sent down to play more since Crawford will get as many starts as he can handle while whoever the back up is watches.
  8. I feel genuine pity for people that hate hockey.
  9. Why can't I vote for this more than once?
  10. I know he and Dineen both played for the Whale. I wonder if he played in that game too.
  11. I don't know, but this dude hosts a spanish language sports talk show in Boston it looks like. That tweet was actually posted as a translation of his first tweet that was in spanish Here's more nonsense that he just tweeted a minute ago: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a47/madhops_42/robot.jpg It bears repeating: The malfunctioning robot is the best thing in NSBB history.
  12. you're programmed in multiple languages? fancy. Bocchi is like a second language to him.
  13. So the Bears are a lock to win 2 of the next 3 games so they can pick in the mid teens
  14. So Sharp comes back, Nordstrom down to Rock Vegas and Saad to the 3rd line with Kruger and Smith. Those are all guesses but seem logical. I actually like Saad on the Human shield line since he 's more of a threat offensively than Nordstrom. I hope they send Clendening back to the Rock too and bring up Dahlbeck who would be a much better partner for either of Roszy or Rundblad.
  15. I would have preferred Nordstrom since Danault could push Shaw to wing. Though I guess Nordstrom up helps Morin's chances of ever playing since Nordstrom is very much "a guy" on that line with Kruger and Smith.
  16. We are talking about a man of skill and passion who will bring greatness to Chicago. http://media.giphy.com/media/12tHi1VipCONeE/giphy.gif LOOK UPON ME! i'LL SHOW YOU THE LIFE OF THE MIND!
  17. The good news for Clendenning is that, for the time being, he pretty much has to dress for games which means he'll have to play at least a little. How much remains to be seen but neither Roszival or Rundblad can play the left side so this is his chance to show what he can do. Of course, Rockford has a bunch of LH shots on the Blue line and we might see Cumiskey once he recovers from his "upper body injury" (read concussion) or Dahlbeck if Clendenning is weak in his own zone. Q has been more patient with young defensemen than he has been with young forwards though partly out of necessity.
  18. Was it just me or were there like 50 guys on each team.

  20. What is a Keith Stone? Keith Stone= Dan Carcillo
  21. I wonder how the lines look when Keith Stone returns to the lineup? I'm guessing we'll see this: Bickell Toews Kane Vertseeg Richards Hossa Saad Kruger Smith Carcillo Shaw Morin
  22. If you watch about half the games, center ice costs about $3.00 a game.
  23. That's, like, your interpretation man. I don't see that in there at all. Although it is blatantly obvious that all the leaks about "now is the time" are due in part to the timing of the tv deal. They have a product to sell and that product has been poorly rated for a long time. If I read anything into that it is that the tank job was due in part to force wgns hand to bail. But that's a stretch. Force WGN's hand? The Cubs had the opt out. He did say it was a stretch.
  24. Never underestimate the Bears' ability to accidently win games in order to shoot themselves in the foot long term. Before the SF game, when everyone was predicting the Bears would lose 77- negative 6, their prospects looked just as bleak as they do now. The coaching staff found a way to save their jobs. I believe that they'll do that again, especially since going 6-10 and picking 6th or 7th would be much worse in the long run than going 3-13.
