  1. How much of that is "I'm throwing out of bounds because I'm running for my life and don't want to get annihilated again."
  2. Amazon and the NFL should pony up a $25 credit to anyone who endured that pathetic excuse of a football game.
  3. The axe falls on Paul Chryst. https://www.wisn.com/article/report-uw-badgers-fire-head-football-coach-paul-chryst/41487672#
  4. A couple weeks ago, I was relieved that the Cubs spared themselves the indignity of losing 100 games. Now they have a legit shot at not even losing 90. I know in the whole grand scheme of things it's... meh. But still...
  5. A big part of me wants to blame their troubles on their rotting corpse of a manager for five months. Probably more to it than that, but still...
  6. I just want one more win.
  7. I'm thrilled there were halftime adjustments.
  8. Iowa's offense is butt.
  9. JFC... they even have hunting blinds in the front of the building.
  10. A double by Morel. The only XBH
  11. This season has mostly sucked. But beating the Brewers will always be satisfying.
  12. There's no such thing as "irrational" pessimism when it comes to the Cubs.
  13. While dating the woman who would eventually become my wife, we took in several Chief’s games in her hometown of Peoria. I watched Dwight Smith play there, as well as Mark Grace, Mike Harkey, and a skinny kid who looked like he should have been a bat boy instead of a pitcher. He topped them all, and then some.
  14. Might be sooner than 2025. I’m hearing it could be as early as 2023 that OU and UT join the SEC. They’re trying to legally wiggle out of their BigXII contract and some speculate that could be accomplished this year. Interesting. I would have thought between the CFP not expanding as both sides assumed it would when this move was being discussed (for UT and OU) and the new SEC TV deal not kicking in until 2024-25 (for the SEC) that both parties would be alright waiting it out for now. But you can't put a price on the awkward factor I guess. It will more than likely be as early as 2023. Cincinnati, Houston, UCF and BYU will be joining the Big 12 in time for the 2023 football season. Because these four schools are coming, there's a clause that will allow Oklahoma and Texas to leave early (can't remember if there's a fine or not, though they'll most certainly pay it).
  15. We’d be looking at potential playoff matchups if games were only 3 innings long.
  16. In that case, he should take the rest of the team with him. They all needed to have career years just to be bad.
  17. I want to get worked up about this, but I can't. The Cubs basically did Frazier a favor. He had as much trade value as Heyward, which is zero. As much as Simmons, which is also zero. Hell, he wouldn't even sweeten a deal involving Contreras or Happ. Even an all-star calibre six weeks of baseball wasn't going to change that. But unlike Simmons, Frazier will be picked up. Good for him.
  18. I'm ready for a consistent middle infield of Hoerner/Morel. Simmons and Madrigal can go pound sand
  19. He puts together great at-bats. Super-impressed by his plate discipline.
  20. Again, more than ready to hear Simmons has been DFA'd.
  21. More than ready to hear Simmons has been DFA'd.
  22. Third in MLB in runs scored the first four innings. Tied for last place with the Blue Jays for runs scored in the last three innings. They score, then they stop.
  23. Unfortunately, I don't have this option. Who are these guys? They're brutal.
