  1. A large group of top JUCOs have decided to commit to the same school, and they picked KU. Could really help turn around our defense. Got a 4* DT, a JUCO AA DB (and two other DBs), and one of the top JUCO LBs. I know JUCO transfers can be hit or miss, but we need all the talent we can get.
  2. Some serious ND bitterness happening on FB.
  3. Geez. I was just wondering how stoked your PBP guy was when you cut Eastern Michigan's lead to two with 1:14 left. Don't know why you're being such a dick about it.
  4. Never heard of him.
  5. Describe the Purdue announcer's demeanor to me!
  6. Gruden to Tech?
  7. Well this is the first KU game I've really been able to watch. Looks like we've got the pieces to be good. MacLemore is pretty sick. 3 pt shooting and PG look like weaknesses.
  8. Heard Paul Rhoads is on Wiscy's list.
  9. B Mac is. UNC hasn't produced many great pros recently, but I feel like they get more 1-2 year players than most programs. I could be wrong.
  10. no doubt we'd love to have some elite talent. but really the only way to compete with the kentuckys and kansas's of the world is to get and develop 4-star players. illinois is the most experienced team in the conference, and i have to think that will pay off throughout the year. they've also been to the pit of despair and had a taste of the [expletive]. that that builds character. Kansas gets elite talent? They've put nothing but bad role players in the NBA since Pierce. KU gets great college players, but we don't recruit like UK, UNC, Duke and even OSU. Most of our guys are 3-4 year players.
  11. Depends, is the 1 year guy Josh Selby? It's josh selby with Xavier Henry's handles. Wait, that's Josh Selby.
  12. Sounds like a lot of sanctimonious bs to me. You guys would love getting top players, even for a year. Maybe not Smack. He wants all his players to stay at Purdue for 12 years like Robbie Hummel.
  13. Beat you to that. Hoke also had NIU 25th (no love for your old conference, Coach?) behind freaking USC. they lost to iowa and beat kansas at home by 7. USC would beat NIU by a thousand. And Kansas gave that game away. And they played it without their star running back, who led the Big 12 in rushing. NIU is going to get fisted.
  14. I'm baffled by Mizzou moving to the SEC. Why would anyone commit to a school that might get to finish 3rd in its division once? Were they that worried about the big 12 going under? Of course they were worried about the Big 12 imploding. It had already lost 3 members, and UT and OU were courting the PAC Whatever. I still think they pulled the trigger too soon, though. A flagship school with solid academics in a populated state was going to find a home no matter what. I think being in (and losing in) the SEC has really impacted their recruiting. Mizzou built their program on Texas kids. Right now, they have one. Without those regular games in Texas, it might be harder to sell kids on going to Missouri. Of course, they now have better access to the southeastern states, but I don't think those kids (generally) want to leave the south, especially the top kids. That leaves Missouri fighting with back of the pack SEC schools and ACC schools for the leftovers.
  15. when you really suck AND you never get any calls, it makes it almost impossible to win.
  16. I wonder if he'll have trouble finding somewhere to transfer. Granted, he hasn't been found guilty of anything, but that's a lot of baggage.
  17. Someone tweeted Al Golden to UT
  18. KU has looked pretty meh so far this season.
  19. I'm actually starting to waver on how much I want Pinkel to stay. 2012 would have been a disastrous year for any coach, but I do think there's reason to believe the program peaked in the Cotton Bowl five years ago. hypothetically, who's a realistic hire that's an improvement over Pinkel?
  20. Neither are anything to crow about. I bet the illini announcers made complete asses of themselves by getting excited about the comeback.
  21. isu played like garbage last night. at least they can say they hung with a tourney team on a neutral court while playing terrible. wait til you see korie lucious play...he's he worst kind of PG and will single handedly lose them several games. WVU lost to Davidson KSU lost to Michigan ISU lost to Cincinnati OU killed by Gonzaga TCU lost to northwestern I guess three of those teams were ranked, but still not a great showing. Is TCU close to being Big 12 caliber. I really can't think of a time when they were any good (obviously the change was not made for this sport but still). No. It's a pretty dreadful hoops program.
  22. Kim English is such an idiot.

  24. They won the year after Manning left. Tee Martin was the quarterback that year. Yeah, they beat FSU with their third string QB.
  25. The big 12 might not be very good this year.
