  1. You're really trying to pass this off as not being utter nonsense? Seriously.
  2. They lost a lot of pieces fom last season, including their QB.
  3. They were all great until they started talking about watching the Athens games when they were 8. Heh. I like how they talk about how they've worked their whole lives for this. You're 16. I get what youre saying, but they've probably sacrificed a normal childhood to train for this. It probably felt like all their lives. The fact it hasn't been 30 years doesnt really make it less significant to me.
  4. LOL, UK gave Drake a championship ring. Ugh. http://www.yardbarker.com/college_basketball/articles/msn/drake_receives_kentucky_championship_ring_complete_with_drizzy_inscription_photo/11331649
  5. Didn't realize Coach Freeze was a 14 year old girl.
  6. I've been reading that MSU is the likely destination.
  7. Texas A&M made a welcome video for its new SEC brethren. Guess what? It's [expletive] terrible. http://youtu.be/rWe8EhUiAUM
  8. Any of you guys who follow the CPL know anything about Milton Doyle from Marshall? He was committed to FIU (and Isaiah Thomas), but after Thomas was fired, he re-opened his recruitment. KU nabbed him, but I'm not sure if it was just as roster filler.
  9. I did it in SoCal. None of the obstacles were that challenging. There were people who looked like they'd have trouble walking a 5K on a flat course, and they did fine. I'm kind of afraid of heights, and that was the hardest part for me. Even though the obstacles aren't that high (maybe 25 feet for the tallest?), I get skittish up there. Crawling over the horizontal cargo net was awkward, but it wasn't hard. Anyway, I'm betting you'll be fine. And it was a pretty fun time. People are there just having a blast. There's another race coming up here in LA, some kind of zombie run. I believe it's a 5K with obstacles, but you also have flags (like from flag football) on your waist. As you run, people in zombie makeup chase after you and try to snag your flags. If you finish with at least one flag, you're eligible for prizes. http://runforyourlives.com/
  10. Golf is horrible. So is bowling. Golf has beautiful vistas, but it goes on forever, and it has Jim Nantz. Advantage bowling. Of course this is all hypothetical, as I'd never actually watch either.
  11. In order of watchability: World's strongest man Horse racing Bowling Wnba Golf NASCAR Can't decide after that. Chess is last though.
  12. I like horse racing. I'd watch it over golf or NASCAR any day of the week.
  13. There's no way the ACC becomes one of the 16 team super conferences if they lose FSU and CU. the PAC, B1G, and SEC have 3/4 locked up. That would leave it between the Big 12 and a very depleted ACC that is widely considered a bad football conference, even with the teams they'll have lost.
  14. Yeah, there's no way UNC leaves the ACC without Duke and NCSU It'll be interesting to see what they do if the ACC starts breaking up. I have no idea if all this FSU/Clemson stuff is true, but if it is, and if that triggers other ACC schools (VTech, GTech) heading to the SEC or Big 12, then the remaining schools have to consider whether or not they want a realistic shot at the big football money. If they do, there won't be many places that can accomodate Duke and UNC, let along Duke, UNC, and NC State.
  15. I'll be surprised if THIS is true. The guy who started this rumor has been saying it for a month. Someone else picked it up and now it's making it's rounds. Like Soler to the Cubs did a few months back. Clemson is dying to join the SEC. My guess is the SEC is trying to do better though. But very soon, Clemson and FSU will leave. Fsu almost definitely to the SEC and I think Clemson eventually gets in there too. Everything I've heard/read says that Florida, Georgia, south carolina, and Kentucky have formed a voting block against any of their in-state rivals joining the SEC. And I think the SEC would much rather add Va Tech and UNC than two schools that offer no expanded footprint, anyway.
  16. Some internet chatter that Clemson has reached an agreement in principle to join the Big 12.
  17. Weber hired Chet Frazier as an assistant.
  18. Have a little respect. They were the first team to win an NCAA championship with an all-black roster.
  19. a couple of days after the FSU AD says they're committed to the ACC, the FSU chairman of the Board of Trustees expresses extreme displeasure with the ACC and expresses interest in the Big 12.
  20. Do you think he grew up dreaming to play for the Mustangs? Who knows, but I can see why he might want to play for Larry Brown.
  21. stuy, how implausible is the FSU to the Big 12 talk?
  22. He is. That's why he hate ND. Yes but that rant was written by a nd fan.
  23. how in the world has Howland attracted these guys after he's run the program into the ground AND gotten blistered by that SI article?
  24. I hope he goes to a school that wasn't restricted. that would be hilarious.
