  1. The SEC is terrible.
  2. Ellis does look older than Greg Oden.
  3. Moving screens aside, Niang is pretty good. I'm not looking forward to playing him for three more years.
  4. Opposite Kansas possibly. Anyone else would create a disadvantage for the protected seed. Man I hope that happens. Illinois is exactly the kind of team that could beat us. I'd hate to see them in our bracket.
  5. Niang is the king of the moving screen. I've never seen anything like it.
  6. Give me a break. You think McLemore deserved a T? And Niang did hook Traylor. Everyone in the building knew the officials would punish KU for the last game, and they did w that first T.
  7. I'll miss Ben McLemore. Dude's got a sweet stroke. KU/ISU round 3 tomorrow. That should be fun.
  8. This KU team doesn't make it to the second weekend.
  9. Baylor has to be shooting 60% right now.
  10. Well, there goes any shot at a one seed.
  11. Corey Jefferson has turned into Kevin Durant.
  12. The SEC is awful. A home win vs a terrible road MU team should not put UT in the tourney.
  13. I argued earlier that they were as good as IU. Is it too late to take that back?
  14. old style, you are one weird dude.
  15. Did they lose a lot of recruits last year? That happened to Weis at ND, but I thought he may have learned that a verbal doesn't mean you can stop talking to a recruit. He actually recruited incredibly well at ND. Didn't develop non-QBs terribly well, but his recruiting was great. I could see KU seeing a definite bump in recruiting rankings. No, we only lost one guy last year. I was really referencing the fact that every highly touted kid from Kansas seems to leave the state, many for OU. Can't really blame them, though. Hopefully we can hold on to this one. I was pretty wowed by his recruiting this year, especially considering we were a one-win team.
  16. Ku got an early verbal from 4* RB Traevohn Wrench. Can't wait for OU or OSU to swoop in and flip him at the last second.
  17. Is UK going to get a bid?
  18. As long as there's no embarrassing loss in the big 12 tourney, I'd say yes.
  19. KU does senior speeches. There was no formal time limit until Wayne Simien gave a 20 minute, wending, church-like sermon. Now I think self limits them to 3-5 minutes, thank God.
  20. That is weird stuff. What time did the game end? How long we're the speeches?
  21. Family is and always has been dirt poor. Mom unemployed.
  22. Plumlee is 6'10" and plays defense down low like a guard. Hands to his side, sliding over to go for a charge on a drive where he could have easily challenged and gone for the block.
  23. Yeah it is to an extent. You can become a passable ball handler, but he's not going to develop not a point guard or anything unless that's all he worked on. It's really more his ability to create his own shot that he think is his biggest shortcoming. I guess that's ball handling+ first step/explosiveness? That's probably never going to be his game, but he could get better there. I think it can be improved by staying and working on it. But, it's not like he's gonna go higher in next years draft. In fact with wiggins, Parker, and the rest of the Kentucky kids he'd probably go lower. He has to go. Oh, I agree. He'd be a fool to stay, especially considering his family situation.

  25. Is ball handling a learnable skill at this level? Because that's what I think McLemore should be focusing on.
