    I think that's out of line. Everyone here realizes what the market situation is. Regardless of what the market situation is, 9/36 is overpaying. Plain and simple. Look up Julio Lugo's stats and tell me he's worth 9m a year, because he's not. I wanted Lugo. I like his abilities. But, for 9m, no thanks. Take that extra money and offer it to Schmidt. Trade for Ryan Church to play CF and let Boston deal with Lugo for the next 4 years. But, save the high and mighty talk. It doesn't become you. I knocked over the SunSphere.

    Yeah, that's a great story. That program has done all it can for a long time now. They'll be partying all the way down south. So many college football programs have no shot whatsoever at the title, yet the same media morons who crucify baseball over the supposed "predestined fate" of small market teams lick the BCS' ass time and time again. The whole thing is a sham.

    What is one man's privacy and pride compared to the hopes and dreams of millions? Besides, he was hardly "destroyed" — he still holds down a decent job in Chicago, hasn't been harmed or burned out of his home or anything of the sort. I wish I had been at Game 6, if only to have had a chance to pitch a stale beer in his direction. He stupidly inserted himself into this storyline and deserves no sympathy.

    I also forgot to add, that is an igonrant statement ^^^^ Why? Alou could have grabbed a second out with a tremendous play that would have set the momentum in our favor in a most un-Cub-like way, and possibly set the stage for a World Series in our lifetimes. But we'll never know because of the actions of one STEVE BARTMAN. Others failed that night, but he was the first to do a stupid thing.

    Steve Bartman was a total screwup that night, but the Cubs were too. I refuse to clear the names of either.

    What does that even mean? Bill Gates entered into a industry where he does not belong...Hes a computer guy..He has no buisness entering a industry that is run by the Japanese..There should only be Nintendo and Sony..The first XBox,complete failure,Looked like a VCR,Ugly controller,pretty poor game selection except for Halo and a few others...Its pretty much like cars to sum it up...Toyota,Honda,Mitsubishi,Are the top cars on the market,all Japanese, because they last forever,break down half as much as an american car..Then you got Gates.who is like, General Motors,producing crap that cant even compare..Bottom line, Japanese are better than us with cars and electronics..We can try, but well never overtake them,the guy is should stick to making PC's and stuff he knows, not something the japanese are masters of Are you aware that every Japanese company you named, save for Honda, has been tarnished in recent times by quality issues and/or general boneheadedness? I'm sure that Gates and GM are brokenhearted over the results of your expert analysis.

    It's a shame that we let the Reds and Bears run off with the wishbone "C." It really frames the cub nicely, but now it's far too associated with those other teams to be used again.

    QFT. Berman, Tirico and Gary Miller have all gone nuts at times over the last decade. None were fired, but Miller was banished to the west coast.
