    True Skynyrd fans are reputed to turn their backs on the new guys whenever they play Sturgis. A couple of the new songs are OK, IMHO, but in reality the band ended with the crash.

    Yeah, I can't see them meeting much competition. Metallica is taking somebody out. They better...Best band ever! (IMO) And I agree with Goony on this one... Well, it's gonna be tough, because a lot of people still haven't forgiven Metallica for Napster.... but they truly are the best band ever, regardless of St Anger (which is still better than a lot of the junk some of the newer bands put out.) They're talented, but every other song sounds the same to me, as an all out rock song, or a ballad. I really like Master of Puppets the best, Orion is epic. Yeah, MoP and Orion are probably the best songs I've ever heard... and yes, that's my bias-love towards Metallica kicking in. EDIT: Oh, and I will agree that a lot of their stuff does sound alike. Ktulu. I don't concede the last point. To the consternation of many diehards, Metallica keeps finding ways to break the mold.

    You forgot to mention Furcal ramming into Lee and breaking his wrist. A few year back, but Mueller and the injury in St. Louis could be included. How about Bellhorn sending Sammy's career into the toilet?

    Skynyrd was the band of my formative years. I wore out two editions of "Gold & Platinum." I used Skynyrd's "Comin' Home" as the basis for a major project in a morbidly serious course at UK once. Freaked the stiff bastards into giving me an A. I voted for Van Halen. Today, when I reach for music, I want it [expletive] LOUD. VH plays loud alot better than Skynyrd, IMHO.

    I mean, honestly. Why the F is Neifi out in SS instead of Cedeno? Does Cedeno REALLY need the day off? This team makes me angry... ANGRY!!! Our 25th man is on pace for 302 at bats. Gotta keep him fresh dude. Dusty's trying to save his job, and he turns to Neifi. That says alot.
