  1. Smoltz will need mouthwash after he gets done sucking Molina’s dick
  2. Top of one and I can’t stand the announcers already
  3. I hate everything about the Cardinals, from their smug fans to Tony LaRussa’s four pitcher changes in an inning. Their Pizaa is horsefeathers. I wonder if they know the Lou is slang for taking a horsefeathers.
  4. He's going to be talked about a lot in the offseason when it comes to trades. He's one to dream on.
  5. A great QB can make a mediocre team better. A great coach can make a bad team mediocre. A GM can ruin both by not building an infrastructure to support them. The Bears are trying but I’m not sure Poles is accomplishing it.
  6. Many guys who had once promising careers were injured and their careers ruined. We only see the guys who persevered or were genetically or physically better. Before Tommy John, if a guy blew out his elbow in the minors, that was it. Sandy Kofax only played for 7 years.
  7. Do they still keep data on pitcher abuse points?
  8. Can hit the off-speed stuff. They should never throw him a fastball.
  9. No one answers this question. Why is Palencia pitching in this game?
  10. They look tired to me. They are still playing mostly error free ball and the effort is there. This is on Jed and his people. And to a lesser extent Counsell.
  11. Gore got knocked around good in the first, so at least there is that
  12. Yes, but hindsight is 20/20. Tucker is among a handful of the best at his position. I think a better question, if they fail to re-sign him (if it happens), is, do you think the trade was worth it if you knew you weren't going to be able to re-sign him? A lot depends on how far they go in the playoffs, if they make it.
  13. Milwaukee will cool down or they will walk away with the WS. The Cubs need to play .500 ball and then get hot in the playoffs. Most years, pitching and defense are a winning combination. Maybe Horton is turning a corner. You only need 3 SP in the playoffs. Boyd, Shota, and Horton is not a bad front end of the rotation. I worry about Palancia handling the pressure, but we will see. They didn't meet the deadline expectations, but then again, none of the big players were traded, so the markets were off for everyone. Everyone wants the Cubs to dominate; that would be great.
  14. And they broke the fuckting universe by winning, and here we are dealing with the horsefeathers. They need to restore the universe by winning again and then not again until after I'm dead.
  15. It's the 1% mentality always to want more and better. Not necessarily the Bears, because they do actually need a new venue. But the White Sox? Their park is fine. Most of the other new stadiums are being built for the upper corporate market with boxes and luxury perks, just like the NBA and MLB. Very little is done to enhance the typical fan's experience. It's just money changing hands from one 1%er to another, funded by the taxpayers.
