  1. ok. They have the lead now. Shut them down.
  2. bases loaded, no outs in the 7th. Talk about shitting the bed. I think the Colorado pitcher is about to cry or crying as he walks off the mound
  3. 95 MPH 2 seamer by Asaad was dead nuts on Bryant
  4. Swanson shitting the bed a little today.
  5. Michigan asleep to start the game
  6. Ross is not a terrible manager. He's also not a championship manager or the manager of a team that has aspirations of the playoffs. He's a Rick Renteria-type manager. He gets the team to play hard, but he's deficient in the strategy needed to be a good manager. He may have been able to learn it as a bench coach, but he's never been a bench coach. Every couple of days we see his deficiency on display in a winable game that the Cubs lose or a game that got away before he did anything about it. I don't think he's going to get fired until they put better players on the team and they stall out. I don't think this team has the same talent level as the 2003 team, but a similar phenomenon is happening. They're out of gas.
  7. I still think they make it to the playoffs.
  8. I still think they will find a way to get a playoff spot. They are better than Miami and at least as good as the Reds (maybe right now). They are probably better than Arizona, but they are playing better right now. Winners of 5 in a row.
  9. There may be very good reasons why that have not been more forthcoming that have to do with law enforcement requests or with their own liability (not that they are complicit) due to the nature of whatever this guy did. Or he may not have done anything and he asked them not to say anything because he doesn't want the information released. Like if his wife is sick or his kid is sick or whatever. All we know is that the guy asked for and was granted a leave of absence and then he resigned. The Bears, to our knowledge, have done nothing but grant the leave and accept the resignation. They're under no obligation from anyone to release any information.
  10. I don't necessarily disagree, but it's too soon in the season to pull the plug on Fields. At this point, I don't see much hope in him ever amounting to anything with the Bears or probably any other team. He's defeated, you can read it in his body language and hear it in his voice. He doesn't have a clue how to make things better so he's reaching back to OSU days. But, they cannot bench him this soon. If they're 0-6 or beyond I could see it happening.

  16. Except there is not an equal chance.
