  1. Fields is not getting his act together. He hasn't had it together since he was in Columbus playing second-tier BCS schools. Poor coaching is probably to blame. I think fans have to hope they tank hard at this point and are in line for a top pick. If not I wouldn't spend a 1st rounder on a QB. Not that I would spend a late round of one either. The best case is they fire the lot of the coaching staff and find someone who can get the most out of Fields or a tippy top QB in the draft. But the staff HAS to go.

AL - All Texas affair, Rangers up one-nill. NL- Arizona (WTF) vs Philly - looks to be an interesting series. The proverbial immovable object vs the irresistible force. I've been wrong all the way down the line, so what do I know? Not Cubs will win.
  3. That's a Tuesday night for Boog doing PBP of Cubs game.
  4. I listened to the first half of the Philly/Jets game on my way back home from the airport. Philly had 4 runs and the rest passes in the first half. All those runs were QB scrambles.
  5. What is sports talk saying? also, I like Goony's idea of plugging away until they find a usable guy. I don't think Fields is that guy.
  6. B1G NOON
  7. A player can’t do that. Pitching is so far ahead of hitting in this era. The only difference is that hitters are stronger and in overall better shape.
  8. I truly think the talent is much better than the coaching.
  9. Justin has to get the ball out near the goaline
  10. Some good run blocking on this drive
  11. 1. ND should not be undefeated. 2. Michigan, OSU, and FSU are clearly the three best teams right now, but until Georgia loses it’s understandable that they are #1.
  12. We had a perfectly good transactions thread that worked this way
  13. You have the Highlander criteria. I suppose that’s understandable and appropriate. For me it’s a little wider, like top 5 per decade. Using your standard almost no one would be it. The player doesn’t have to be consensus the best but among the best every year. Like Trever Lawerence and Joe Burrow (healthy) are going to be among the best every year while others come and go.
  14. And playing a style of football from the roaring 20s, 1920s
  15. Really bad. I should delete but I’ll wear it.
  16. Dropping a deuce on national TV
  17. What you bitching about, they won. Lol, helluva a game. I felt like I was back in the pre-Chuck Long days. Where is coach Fry?
  18. Williams is already better than Fields at short passing accuracy.
  19. There have always been great pitchers who could gas. But the proportions have changed and even then they got lit up in the later innings.
  20. Illini kicker looks to be about 34 years old.
  21. Illini up 10 on Maryland in the 3rd!
  22. Dion needs to work on his defensive schemes. But they really have some talent on the other side of the ball. Kudos to Stanford.
  23. You are remembering things that didn’t happen. It was a HUGE deal when Foster hit 40 HRs. and guys like Ernie Broglio (traded for Lou Brock) we’re washed up by their early 30s.
  24. I'd hang on to Alcantara if I could unless he's included for a difference-maker. But it might be a big reason why they are in the AFL this year.
