  1. We had a perfectly good transactions thread that worked this way
  2. You have the Highlander criteria. I suppose that’s understandable and appropriate. For me it’s a little wider, like top 5 per decade. Using your standard almost no one would be it. The player doesn’t have to be consensus the best but among the best every year. Like Trever Lawerence and Joe Burrow (healthy) are going to be among the best every year while others come and go.
  3. And playing a style of football from the roaring 20s, 1920s
  4. Really bad. I should delete but I’ll wear it.
  5. Dropping a deuce on national TV
  6. What you bitching about, they won. Lol, helluva a game. I felt like I was back in the pre-Chuck Long days. Where is coach Fry?
  7. Williams is already better than Fields at short passing accuracy.
  8. There have always been great pitchers who could gas. But the proportions have changed and even then they got lit up in the later innings.
  9. Illini kicker looks to be about 34 years old.
  10. Illini up 10 on Maryland in the 3rd!
  11. Dion needs to work on his defensive schemes. But they really have some talent on the other side of the ball. Kudos to Stanford.
  12. You are remembering things that didn’t happen. It was a HUGE deal when Foster hit 40 HRs. and guys like Ernie Broglio (traded for Lou Brock) we’re washed up by their early 30s.
  13. I'd hang on to Alcantara if I could unless he's included for a difference-maker. But it might be a big reason why they are in the AFL this year.
  14. I'd love to see the Cubs use Triantos in a trade this offseason
  15. I agree they have the money. It would be a dream come true and completely out of character.
  16. Tim are you into the wine this early?
  17. Does anyone think that Arizona stands a chance against Either Philly or Atlanta?
  18. Down go the Dodgers
  19. That is not a heavy lift for most Philadelphia sports fans.
  20. Soto would be a good get. There are two things working against the Cubs from the jump. 1) they gave Happ a NTC. and they seem to value his leadership skills. They seem to place an inordinate amount of value in that unmeasurable trait. 2) They will need to compete with at least one other team and probably a few other teams. in a trade scenario. That means the ante is up and up more. I don’t know if teams buy into the FV nonsense, but I’d guess they’d start with Wicks/Farris/ Brown and add Morel/Caissie/Canario and Arais/Rojas/Hernandez. That’s a lot for a guy who isn’t playing a position of need, is really expensive even for just one year, will be gone after the year is over. I mean that’s why the Nats traded him in the first place.
  21. I had this game as a loss at the start of the season, but Minnesota has come back to ground. I still think they will win, mainly because the Bears D is really bad, but I wouldn't bet on this game either way.
  22. I don’t think there is any chance that Wisdom is back with the Cubs. He filled a niche while they were bad but they should not have any room for him on a roster that intends to compete for a division.
  23. I like the easy gas.
