  1. according to cubsump twitter, the giants have gotten 8 favorable calls from this home plate umpire. cubs have gotten 0.
  2. rondon fan somehow makes incorrect predictions every game, yet he seems to never lose confidence in his ability to prognosticate.
  3. hey let's walk a bunch of hitters with no power whatsoever.
  4. concerning number of hard-hit balls being allowed by hammel tonight.

  6. Oh come on. You should be banned for instigating, and being a turd. People are allowed their opinion. If you dont like what he posts just ignore it, don't be an [expletive]. seems an odd person to be white knighting for, but whatever. anyway, if we banned people for general turdiness then game threads would have like 5 posts.
  7. you are the worst poster on this forum by a large margin, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the day that you are banned.
  8. cubs have the best road record in baseball.

  10. i'm not sure what sontensei meant. probably best to ban him just to be safe.
  11. yeah 41 war is actually kind of mind-boggling for a guy who couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag. neifi perez and rey ordonez were basically replacement level over the course of their unnecessarily long careers. one could probably argue that belanger is the best defensive shortstop in history, at least based on how b-r rates him.
  12. keith law tweeted this article as an example of why the changes to voting eligibility were necessary. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/ct-smack-hersh-spt-0803-20150802-column.html belanger, for all his defensive brilliance, had a career .580 ops and a 68 ops+.
  13. hopefully bryant is okay to play against the lhp. wouldn't be surprised if he gets the day off though.
  14. http://m.cubs.mlb.com/news/article/140670646 also, that pitch he homered on yesterday was a good pitch. low and outside fastball and he drove it 400 feet to center. definitely not the kind of pitch you expect a 21 year old middle infielder to do much damage with.
  15. my first reaction upon seeing this thread was "gee, i bet kyle is trolling the [expletive] out of this thread." he has not disappointed.
  16. Cubs now a robust 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position.
  17. I hope you have to live in North Dakota the rest of your life. You [expletive] deserve it. No. He doesn't. That game was [expletive] brutal and you have to be a robot (or David) to not be breaking down by the end. Jesus dude, are you void of emotion? I got your back Ski. I enjoy living in North Dakota, by the way. And I stand by my point that this game never should have gone to the bottom of the ninth and a better reliever should have been put in. Celebrate the walkoff, sure, but it shouldn't have even been necessary. This season has been filled with [expletive] moments like that. If there is any justice in this world, you will live out your days in a dingy North Dakota apartment, trying to turn up the volume on your anime cartoons to drown out the sound of your roommate CubbieBum banging his wife in the next bedroom.
  18. I hope you have to live in North Dakota the rest of your life. You [expletive] deserve it.
