  1. randy choate pitches in every game and faces one batter.
  2. hopefully he has diarrhea like bryant had twice already this year.
  3. How can one team be so consistently bad at hitting with runners on base?
  4. 10 base runners in 5 innings, 0 runs. Facepalm.
  5. Dodgers found where the Cardinals keep their pixie dust ?? All I know is that the Dodgers have it good enough with the best pitcher in baseball and a loaded minor league system and limitless payroll. They don't deserve to have past-their-prime mediocrities turning into middle of the order stalwarts.
  6. Someone explain to me how Mets' reject Justin Turner suddenly becomes a .900+ ops masher at age 30.
  7. go have a look at luis valbuena's numbers and you'll feel better. luis valbuena has a .161 babip Along with a HR/FB rate that's double his career average.
  8. go have a look at luis valbuena's numbers and you'll feel better.
  9. again, he has had 15 at bats against LHP this season. using his numbers this season against LHP is instructive of nothing.
  10. scrabble has a career OPS against of like .800 against RH batters and .550 against LH batters. the sample sizes above aren't significant, given that ross has faced lefty pitching only 15 times this season.
  11. i am ready for the mike baxter era to be over.
  12. that particular lefty is especially nasty against LH batters.
  13. And now Hammel gives up a double to some pitcher named Murphy.
  14. even if he could play a competent lf, coghlan has an .800 ops against RHP despite hitting into a lot of bad luck this year, and denorfia has been raking (and has a career line of .293/.359/.430/.789 against LHP). unless soler is hurt for longer than expected or comes back and struggles (remember, his OPS is just .724 and that's with a babip of .383), there's not really a need for schwarber in the lineup right now. just send him to iowa and keep working on the D.
  15. why do the pirates not allow other teams to score runs any more?
  16. hey, you know how the average baseball player peaks at age 27? pretty fun that most of our lineup is in their early 20s.
  17. nice to see kimmo get the cup first and get to have a skate with it. classy move by the hawks. bet you guys never could have thought that dollar bill dying could have turned out so well.
